Electronic Arts released a handful of FIFA 13 Wii U screenshots this week, revealing some of the small improvements that the developers have been able to include over the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game.

EA Sports stated that the additional power of Nintendo’s upcoming console has allow them to improve certain visual aspects of FIFA 13, such as the crowd and the player’s shirts (which now feature mesh designs). Matthew Prior, the producer of the Wii U version, also noted that the development team has been able to make other unnamed improvements in the game thanks to the console’s higher memory.

Slightly better visuals and other improvements aside, the more important thing here is that the Wii U version is a port of FIFA 13 on the PS3/360 and not a barely updated FIFA 12 port like the Wii and Vita received. Extras are always nice, but I’m just happy that EA Sports is planning to deliver the same game that they are selling.

FIFA 13 is scheduled to launch alongside the Wii U on November 18th, check out the full set of screenshots in the gallery below.
