‘You’re fired!’: Congressman tells Trump exactly how to fire his DHS secretary and turn it into appointment TV

Never thought we'd miss reality TV Trump.

Representative Jared Moskowitz, a Democrat from Florida, made a bold move during a congressional hearing. He used clips and audio from President Donald Trump‘s reality TV days to demand the immediate firing of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

According to Mediaite, Moskowitz told his fellow committee members he wanted to take a trip down “memory lane” and get back to the good old days of “Apprentice Trump.” The congressman played audio of the president repeatedly saying, “You’re fired, you’re all fired,” and then asked the committee, “Where is that guy? What happened to him?”

Moskowitz said the president needs to stop seeing firings as a sign of weakness. He directly told the president, “But now somebody convinced you that firing people is weakness. That’s why ratings are down, Mr. President.” He reminded President Trump that he starred in “one of the most popular TV shows” where viewers tuned in weekly to watch him dismiss “the weakest link of your team.”

The demand comes amid growing frustration over immigration enforcement tactics

The call for Noem’s removal comes amid nationwide controversy over the tactics used during the administration’s immigration crackdown. This frustration grew following two fatal shootings of U.S. citizens in Minneapolis this past January. Renee Good was killed by ICE agent Jonathan Ross, and Alex Pretti was killed by Border Patrol agent Jesus Ochoa and Customs and Border Protection officer Raymundo Gutierrez.

The administration has taken some steps, but it hasn’t been enough to calm the protests or satisfy lawmakers. Recently, Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino was removed from overseeing Minnesota operations and sent back to California, with border czar Tom Homan stepping in as his replacement. The president has faced internal disputes over major policy decisions within his own administration recently.

Secretary Noem tried to satisfy a key demand from Congress and protesters when she announced the agency was “deploying body cameras to every officer in the field in Minneapolis…Effective immediately.” However, the anger is still building. The Florida congressman pointed out that lawmakers from both sides are calling for Noem’s dismissal.

He also noted a telling sign of presidential disapproval: Noem was the only secretary President Trump skipped over during a recent Cabinet meeting. Moskowitz stated, “She was the only secretary he didn’t allow to talk! It’s time to fire her. Why hasn’t it happened?” Controversial revelations about Trump’s past associations have also surfaced from former employees. Moskowitz urged the president to make it “must-watch TV” that “tens of millions of people would tune in.”

He suggested bringing Noem “into your little conference room…and you fire her, right there, on TV!” He said the “ratings would be through the roof,” even imagining the scene, saying, “Think about the hat she would wear, I mean, it would be majestic!”Moskowitz sealed his point by playing a video that mixed Noem’s past testimony with clips of the president’s famous reality show dismissal, declaring, “That’s how that would look!”
