‘A little bit of foreign intelligence’: Charlie Kirk murder mystery deepens as Fox News teases international involvement

Charlie Kirk is dead, shot through the neck by a sniper’s bullet, and nobody knows why or who fired the shot. The MAGAsphere is madder today than it ever has been as fingers are pointed at liberals and leftists, with the widespread assumption that Kirk’s politics pushed someone into a homicidal rage.

But, in terms of actual suspects, law enforcement is apparently clueless. After the high-profile arrest of a man at the scene, red-faced cops were forced to admit he had nothing to do with the shooting and released him without charge.

Footage from the scene appears to show a mysterious figure fleeing from a distant rooftop, but whoever the shooter was seems to have successfully escaped the scene of the crime, and their current whereabouts are unknown. But, presumably, there’s more going on behind the scenes than we’re aware of.

What exactly might that be? Well, Fox News contributor John Solomon dropped an intriguing nugget of information by hinting that “foreign intelligence” is now involved in the investigation:

“There’s a lot of piecing of evidence together. We don’t have a shooter tonight, we have a couple of leads, a couple of people that were released that probably aren’t the shooter, there’s a couple of hot leads, there’s a little bit of foreign intelligence…”

A state-sanctioned hit?

So what could this mean? The obvious inference is that there’s now some evidence that the shooter wasn’t an American citizen, perhaps backed up by information provided from another country that they flew into the United States on a mission to assassinate Kirk.

If you wanted to get a little tinfoil hat, you could go so far as to theorize that this was a state-ordered assassination from one of America’s ever-growing list of political enemies. Kirk himself wasn’t shy about making incendiary comments about Venezuela, Iran, Mexico, Cuba, China, North Korea, Argentina… In fact, at this point, it’s probably quicker to list the countries he didn’t insult.

All that said, we don’t know where Solomon is getting his information from, so who knows if there actually is foreign intelligence that might help catch Kirk’s killer? That said, if it were proven that Kirk was assassinated by a foreign actor who’s already fled the country, that’s going to be like pouring gasoline onto the already raging fire of the current political situation.
