Unlike the rest of us, business is booming for America’s proud sign-makers. Under Donald Trump they get to rake in the cash as he plasters his name all over national monuments, public buildings, and infrastructure. Every one of them needs new signs – preferably in gold leaf!
The cherry on top for them is that this is all inevitably going to be reversed when Trump is history, and everyone suddenly distances themselves from him as quickly as they can. Then they get to make a whole new set of signage, just reverting things to a pre-Trump era! Ka-ching!
Enter Florida’s Palm Beach International Airport, which now welcomes visitors to the United States as… “President Donald J. Trump International Airport”. Because what says ‘please enjoy visiting our country’ more than having your social media posts evaluated for anti-Trump sentiment and the prospect of spending months incarcerated because some ICE agent doesn’t like the look of you?
This development was apparently spearheaded by former Trump adversary Governor Ron DeSantis, (now thoroughly neutered), with Eric “Daddy! Notice me!” Trump also taking some credit. He took to X to say:
Palm Beach International Airport is now officially…. “President Donald J. Trump International Airport!”

Proud to have played a small role in making this happen. Huge thanks to @megforflorida, @GovRonDeSantis, @JamesUthmeierFL, and the overwhelming majority in the Florida House! pic.twitter.com/Yi5LSdlDaT
“I feel disgusted”
Even for some Trump supporters, this is a step too far. A reply to Eric Trump’s post says: “A year ago I would have praised this, but now after the betrayal I feel disgusted.” On a similar note, ‘America First Lioness’ wonders if a Trump might enlist to serve in Iran. After all, the enlistment age just got raised!
I hope someone is making a list of all the trump family members currently of enlistment age.

Somehow, I doubt it, but we can dream!
Another set of replies underlines that this is some North Korea-type stuff. But even they might do it with a little more class and subtlety than this!
That's your problem. North Korea has class. And they certainly won't have someone like trump in office. Twice.

For now, we can put Florida’s President Donald J. Trump International Airport alongside the nearby President Donald J. Trump Boulevard and the President Donald J. Trump Avenue in Hialeah. And, of course, The Donald J. Trump and The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts, The Donald J. Trump U.S. Institute of Peace, and the numerous Trump Towers, Trump Hotels, Trump golf courses, and so on.
At this point, we wouldn’t be surprised if there was a shock announcement for Americans at the upcoming 250th anniversary celebrations of the United States Declaration of Independence. Congratulations everyone! You now live in the President Donald J. Trump States of America, boasting a new flag with fifty pictures of his grinning face replacing the stars.
The whole thing is nauseating from top to bottom: everything from the cringing sycophancy of those proposing these name changes to the demented man in the Oval Office soaking up the praise as if he were born to receive it.
However, we guarantee that the second Trump leaves office (be it through his term expiring or his death), plans will be afoot to chisel out his name from the signs institutions and revert them back to the way they were. All too soon, regular Americans are going to be feeling the dire consequences of Trump’s disastrous decisions. At that point, the only thing people will want to put his name on is a public urinal. And not a very clean one.
