Actress Bette Midler has voiced her support for journalist Terry Moran after the ABC News anchor was let go for voicing his opinions regarding Donald Trump and Stephen Miller.

Taking to Bluesky, Midler offered up an ice-cold revenge fantasy that would truly hit Trump and his cronies right where it hurts. According to the Hollywood legend, Moran should have been “promoted and given a raise” rather than being fired.

He shouldn’t have been suspended. He should have been promoted and given a raise.

Midler’s response is absolutely perfect, if this had happened it would have really gotten under Trump and his supporter’s skins. She sure does know just how to set the president off. I think most of us would pay real money to see Donald and the MAGA bunch get the opposite of what they wanted, especially after the stink they kicked up in response to Moran’s posts.

Trump and his administration were in full on meltdown over a few mean words posted by Moran And MAGA has the nerve to call the left snowflakes. but unfortunately it seems ABC caved and gave in to the White House demands.

What happened to Terry Moran?

Earlier this week it was announced that ABC News would be parting ways with Terry Moran as his recent post to X “was a clear violation of ABC News policies.” Moran attacked Miller and Trump as he called the former “a world-class hater.” He went on to say that “You can see this just by looking at him because you can see that his hatreds are his spiritual nourishment. He eats his hate.” Perhaps the MAGA crowd went into meltdown because they knew he was telling the truth.

The post caused outrage with Karoline Leavitt claiming that the White House had even reached out to ABC to “inquire about how they plan to hold Terry accountable.” It seems Moran really hurt Trump’s feelings.

Bette Midler and others defend Moran

Midler’s idea of promoting Moran reflects the mindset of many who see this as the Trump administration silencing a journalist for criticizing the government. One person replied to Midler, “Terry speaks truth. He is saying what he sees.” Another added, “We should keep sharing it, keep reminding the Taco T**s Administration  how we feel.”

While ABC may have bent the knee to Trump and his band of bullies it’s unlikely this minor hurdle will stop Moran from doing what he does. Earlier this year we saw him press the president on the infamous MS-13 tattoo photo. He stands by his principles and the same simply can’t be said for Trump

Midler’s idea might end up coming true, Moran will no doubt be scooped up by another news outlet that will allow him to speak without being censored. Hopefully whatever position he takes next pays him more and gives him more opportunities to roast Trump and co.
