‘Better late than never’: Marjorie Taylor Greene finally figures out she’s working for the baddies, says she doesn’t ‘relate’ to the GOP anymore

Has Marjorie Taylor Greene switched sides?

Until recently, I would have told you there was a better chance of hell freezing over as opposed to Marjorie Taylor Greene calling out the shortcomings of the Republican Party. Yet here we are, the representative for Georgia’s fourth congressional district has actually shared an opinion that isn’t just a parrot of Donald Trump’s for once.

Greene called out her own party in a rare show of accountability as she claimed that the GOP was anti-woman and anti-worker, (wonder what took her so long to notice). Speaking to the Daily Mail she revealed she was having what kind of sounds like a crisis of faith.

“I don’t know if the Republican Party is leaving me, or if I’m kind of not relating to [the] Republican Party as much anymore, I don’t know which one it is.”

This is unusual for Marjorie Taylor Greene

Greene has been known to be rather dogmatic in her unwavering loyalty to the Republican Party, so to hear her, of all people, say this is quite a shock. This isn’t even the only instance of her saying something negative about the GOP lately. While she insists that she is still fiercely loyal, it seems she’s done making excuses for her party, at least in this specific situation.

The Georgia Rep claimed that the “Republican Party has turned its back on America First and the workers and just regular Americans.” She also says that she’s concerned the party is going back to its ”neocon” roots. However, what Greene wants for her party is no better than what we’ve got now, in fact it might be worse.

The lawmaker wants to see an end to foreign aid as well as continue to allow DOGE to do its thing despite the fact that Elon Musk’s department was a complete mess which failed to even come close to achieving the goal it set out to achieve. She believes that the GOP is not listening to the people, but apparently she is, at least the people whom she interacts with in her little echo chamber on X. Not sure if that counts as the opinion of the “people,” it’s more like a congregation of alt-right MAGA supporters.

The GOP is also anti-woman

Greene also stated that the “women in our party that are really sick and tired of the way men treat Republican women.”

I mean she’s not wrong, Republicans have been openly expressing a borderline hatred for women since day one, be it the policies against planned parenthood or Trump’s own sexist remarks, there’s plenty to suggest the party is anti-woman. But it’s just weird to hear this coming from Greene’s mouth.

Responding on X one individual wrote, “Woke Marjorie Taylor Greene was not on my 2025 bingo card.” Meanwhile others called her out for choosing to “go along” with the GOP policies until it affected her. Either way, Greene hasn’t exactly switched sides, but her words do suggest there is a bit of in-fighting going on amongst the Republican Party.
