U.S. President Donald Trump speaks to the media wearing a hat that reads, "Trump Was Right About Everything!," during a visit to The People's House: A White House Experience August 22, 2025 in Washington, DC. Trump spoke on a variety of issues including stating he did not know of the FBI raid currently happening on former national security adviser John Bolton's home, and saying he learned of it by seeing the news on television. ‘Beyond absurd’: Trump advises Americans to leave car doors and trunks open to assist criminals

Okay grandpa... Time for bed.

Donald Trump‘s brain is truly one of a kind. Every day, he’ll reliably spout the most insane thing you’ve ever heard, peppered with surreal leaps in logic and utter disregard of reality. There’s nobody out there thinking quite like him, and we hope his brain will one day be donated to medical science so they can figure out what’s going on.

So, what has our increasingly addled Dear Leader come out with now? Well, he’s advising Americans to leave their car doors and trunks unlocked to make thieves’ lives easier. And yes, you read that right.

The “logic” (and this is really stretching the definition of that word) is that America is such a crime-riddled hellhole that criminals will inevitably break into your vehicle regardless. While breaking in, they’ll likely damage your doors and windows, so to avoid that you should simply leave them open so they just snatch your possessions and leave your vehicle undamaged:

I have friends, they leave their trunk open for their car bc they know they’re going to be vandalized. They don’t want the trunk ripped off in order for them to steal what’s in their bag. They leave their doors open so when they go in to steal the radio or whatever they take, they don’t rip off the door. They leave the doors totally open so the criminals, when they go and open the door, they don’t have to break the windows & kill the car”

Meds time!

If Trump were a regular 79-year-old, you’d be rolling your eyes and muttering “yes, grandpa…”, possibly while also making the universal ‘he’s crazy’ gesture by waggling a finger at the side of your head. But, sadly, this is the man who currently governs your life and decides your future.

As with most of Trump’s literally insane beliefs, this was likely fed to him as justification for his ongoing military attacks on Democratic cities. He’s recently insisted that Chicago is a “killing field” and now wholeheartedly believes that his sending troops into DC has left a city full of grateful residents able to walk around wearing watches at night.

He may believe this, but verifiable reality suggests otherwise. When polled, DC residents said they felt much less safe with Trump’s troops on the streets, with most wanting them gone as soon as possible and law enforcement duties returned to the cops.

But hey, if you’re reading this and you’re a die-hard MAGA, we can only urge you to take your idol at his word and leave your car doors and trunk open at night! After all, Trump can do no wrong!
