Candace Owens says President of France paid $1.5M to assassinate her – but kills her shocking claim with one word

Candace Owens has raised new allegations against French President Emmanuel Macron. Over the past year she has been levelling unfounded accusations, and the latest one is the most shocking, with the podcaster claiming that now Macron is trying to assassinate her. But this time, even her ardent followers don’t seem to buy it.

Owens grew to infamy in 2017 when she launched a site whose main purpose was doxxing people who disagreed with her sometimes far-right views, and it’s only been downhill from there. She truly became a mainstay when she started aligning with Kanye West during one of his manic episodes and Alex Jones — where she championed his repeatedly debunked assertion that Sandy Hook was some sort of hoax.

She spent months denying climate change, being at the forefront of denying doctors’ findings of COVID-19. At some point, it seemed like Owens would say anything outrageous to get her show views. At the time, Owens worked with Ben Shapiro at The Daily Wire, but after she started platforming antisemitic narratives about Jewish puppeteering of American media, Shapiro chose to part ways with her.

Shapiro has offered some of the most controversial views in recent times, so one would assume that Owens going to the right of even Shapiro would banish her into fringe voices that get no attention. But she was just getting started. She suddenly landed on what felt like a “gold mine” when she started speculating about Brigitte Macron’s assigned sex at birth.

For whatever reason, this became very important to Macron. She released a multi-part series on her YouTube page that quickly went viral globally. Repeatedly, Owens assured her viewers that her assertions are backed by evidence and that she will gladly “stake her reputation” on this one topic.

Eventually, the Macrons decided to sue her. At first, Owens took to her podcast to issue a very strong message of defiance. She claimed that the Macrons’ lawsuit was filled with multiple inaccuracies. The back and forth between the podcaster and the French first family culminated with Brigitte stating she was willing to provide evidence to the court that she was born female. And that’s when Owens started slowly backing off that news story — while the case is yet to be heard in court — Owens has since changed her tone and said that the Macrons are attacking her free speech. She, on more than one occasion, even asked for President Donald Trump to step in on her behalf.

There’s no way of knowing whether Owens is saying the truth — but if you look at her extensive past in the media, there’s a clear pattern of her spreading malicious rumors. So when this time Owens just randomly took to X to announce that she has reason to believe the Macrons have placed $1.5 million in the hands of a hitman for an imminent assassination, her weary fans were quick to ask that she present this evidence that she always claims to have but never shares.

Multiple users wanted to know why she’s being overly cautious and using words like “allegedly” if she truly has evidence. It’s likely for her to evade more lawsuits. One even asked something we’re all secretly thinking about when logging onto X: how can you even tell what’s true and what isn’t anymore on that platform.

Regardless, political assassinations are far too serious in this day and age for her to just make such claims with nothing to back it up.
