Casey DeSantis thinking she is a Disney Princess isn’t doing Ron DeSantis’ House of Mouse vendetta any favors

Someone definitely needs that 'mirror, mirror on the wall' routine.

For months now, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been razor-focused on dismantling Disney’s hold in the state. But he is not the only one with unhealthy obsessions as his wife, Casey DeSantis also harbors a questionable fixation on dressing up like she is starring in a poorly-scripted Disney fairytale almost every time she steps out of the house.

She recently caused a mighty uproar when the first lady of Florida was seen sporting an outfit that bore a startling resemblance to the outfits worn by the passionately hated elite wives of the powerful men in the HBO series The Handmaid’s Tale. But it seems like she is not done with fanning the flames.

So, DeSantis chose to attend her husband’s State of the address in a pink flowing off-shoulder gown complete with white satin gloves. Not only was she over-dressed for the event, but she also looked very out of place amid everyone dressed formally. But it’s not the first time when she let her intrusive thoughts win and her latest foray into playing Disney Princess is only a reminder that this is happening while Ron DeSantis relentlessly pursues his mindless agenda to punish Disney for standing up against his unjustified “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

The frequency with which she has been rolling out capes, gowns, and other outfits that don’t really go well with the events she attends, make it hard to believe she is not aware that her taste in fashion is not shining a positive light on her husband’s current priorities.

She has often received flak over fashion picks and recently, the governor stood up to advocate for the same on the Mark Levin Show, claiming that had his wife been a Democrat, “she’d be on every fashion magazine.”

“They would be making her out to be the biggest deal. But because we’re conservative, we know that that’s not what happens. In reality, it will be the opposite, where they try to really attack.”

But no matter how much he defends his wife or how hard she tries to live out an imaginary fairytale, it is evident that Casey DeSantis — who FYI got married at Disney World — is not really casting the effect she wanted to achieve.

A few also thought that the First Lady is trying to copy the style of Jackie Kennedy. It definitely didn’t help when New York Times confirmed the same in its recent piece — that the revered style of the former First Lady was the “inspiration” behind Casey’s outfit choices.

While Casey DeSantis has the liberty to dress up howsoever she wants, the sanity of the fashion world and Ron DeSantis’ ongoing attempts to outsmart the House of Mouse hang in the balance.
