Children are dying in Iran and the White House is treating it like a Wii Sports game

The conflict in Iran is a joke to the Trump administration.

Donald Trump has continued the U.S. joint strikes with Israel against Iran, causing thousands of deaths, many of which are children. While this is happening someone on the White House social media seems to think it’s all one big joke.

Whoever is running the official X page for The White House thinks that war is just a game showing how cruel and blatantly out of touch they are. A video which is fast going viral was shared by the account yesterday, the clip splices together footage from the classic Nintendo game Wii Sports Resort with footage of strikes in Iran.

The video also plays the upbeat Wii Sports music along with text overlaid from the game such as “Hole in One” over footage of a missile strike on a location in Iran.

It’s about as far from humorous as one can get, especially when this is coming from the government that literally dragged the country into the conflict in Iran in the first place. To make jokes about citizens of Iran and American soldiers who have died when the Trump administration is arguably responsible for them is in incredibly poor taste.

The conflict in Iran isn’t a game

Let’s not forget that just last week an elementary school in Iran was struck with military investigators claiming it was most likely a U.S. strike. 168 people in total were killed in the strike, 110 of them were literal children. None of those children were even born when Wii Sports came out. Meanwhile, we have full grown adults in the U.S. acting like kids themselves, treating this very real conflict as if it were a game.

The response to the video online has been one entirely of disgust. “You do realise this video itself is a war crime?” Author Jon Wiltshire wrote underneath the post on X. The rest of his response features expletives too strong to repeat here but the feelings he gets across seem to be shared by all.

“How much more incompetent, disrespectful, insensitive are you going to be! This administration is a disgrace!” Another angry individual wrote about the video.

Usually there are at least a few MAGA diehards willing to defend Trump and the government, or at least downplay the severity in many cases. Here they are nowhere to be found. It seems even the president’s most loyal and delusional followers know that this was a major blunder that will only further sour the few Americans that still actually support this administration.

Despite all the negative backlash the video has yet to be deleted which can only be taken as an endorsement of this cruel and insensitive mockery. Clearly this government well and truly has lost the plot.
