Marjorie Taylor Greene was once one of MAGA’s most reliable foot soldiers — now she has become one of their biggest targets. A recent report revealed that the White House contacted the Secret Service, alleging ties between the former Congresswoman and the protest group Code Pink.
According to Axios, White House aides suspected Greene of tipping off protesters during President Donald Trump’s impromptu dinner at Joe’s Seafood with his aides. The visit was interrupted by Code Pink protesters who also likened Trump to Hitler and recorded the interaction. The dinner was originally intended to showcase Trump’s supposed effectiveness in reducing crime in Washington, D.C., measured, oddly enough, by restaurant attendance on a night out.
Greene famously now has her own issues with the Trump administration. A falling out over her political ambitions and Trump’s unclear ties with child sex predator Jeffrey Epstein means the two prominent conservative figures now struggle to find a single nice thing to say about each other. Yet the report suggests that just last fall, Greene had recommended Joe’s Seafood herself.
Greene took to X to call the allegations “dangerous” and “absurd.” She has recently declared she will no longer be bound by party lines when they conflict with her personal beliefs. According to Greene, this is yet another example of Trump’s vindictiveness because of her role in the release of the Epstein files, which damaged his image among MAGA loyalists who once believed Trump had no connection to Epstein.
This is exactly what I told this little WH tool that wrote this absurd dangerous LIE about me on behalf of the WH because they are mad at me for telling the truth about the President and forcing the release of the Epstein files. Now they are making up horrific lies about me!!… https://t.co/ab8MxGe87v

For what it’s worth, Code Pink called the allegations of collaboration with Greene “comical.” The group’s stated mission is: “Life-affirming programs are investments in social programs that uplift human dignity instead of tearing it down. We believe universal health care must include the right to an abortion, access to education must not be determined by income bracket, and housing is a human right.” Clearly, there is little overlap between Greene’s positions and Code Pink’s principles.
The White House staffers’ suspicion of Greene setting them up stemmed from the fact that she had called multiple times to ensure Trump followed through on her recommendation. Additionally, Greene was expected to join them for the dinner but was a no-show. Suspicion grew even stronger when, immediately after the mini protest, Greene became increasingly vocal in her criticism of Trump.
With each passing day, it becomes increasingly clear that Greene will likely never be welcomed back into the Trump administration. That is not to say her beliefs are immutable, even if she insists they are. She once claimed that Trump had not been implicated in the Epstein files and labeled CNN and the New York Times as “fake news,” yet she now relies on the same outlets she once rebuked to explain her position against Trump’s role in the Epstein saga. The real reason she likely won’t return to Trump’s inner circle is straightforward: he has shown himself to be far too vengeful.
Trump has called Greene a “rotten apple” and denounced her ideas as very bad. Greene, in turn, has declared she will leave politics. It seems highly unlikely this will be the last public spat between the two figures.
