Delusional Donald Trump now believes his father was British, New York-born Fred Trump spinning in grave

Donald is now at the age his father was when he developed Alzheimer's.

It won’t be long for Donald Trump now. The 79-year-old president is rapidly losing his faculties: his once sharp tongue is now a mushmouth of random glottal sounds, his rotting skin is rebelling against his body, and his brain – never particularly finely tuned – is losing touch with reality.

Now, tragically, Trump even seems to be losing the most fundamental memories of his family history. Yesterday, German Chancellor Merz visited the White House. Trump attempted to connect with him on some shared history:

“It’s a shame… it’s… uh… And…. And.. that country. UK and I love that country. I love it. But m-my mother was born there. I love it. My mother was born there. My father was born there. So you know there are places that you, you know, sort of automatically very… very… feel warmly about. But the UK what what they’re doing with energy… with immigration… is… horrible.”

Donald Trump’s father, Fred Trump, was, in fact, born in the Bronx, New York City, and was by all accounts a proud New Yorker for his entire life. That Donald doesn’t seem to be aware of this is… troubling.

Not a good omen

But while we’re on the subject of Fred Trump, let’s revisit what Fred was like at Donald’s age. In 1985, Fred turned 80, at which point his granddaughters report he was visibly suffering from dementia, with memory loss, disorientation, and failure to recognize his family.

His family chose to support him in a bizarre and cruel way, maintaining the illusion that he was still working by giving him a secluded office at the Trump Organization in Brooklyn with a prop telephone and making him sort and seal blank pieces of paper all day so he could fool himself that he was “working”.

Doctors eventually officially diagnosed Fred Trump with Alzheimer’s, with his medical notes reporting “obvious memory decline in recent years” and “significant memory impairment.”

Alzheimer’s disease is a genetic risk factor within families, and we underline that Donald is now Fred’s age. I’m sure I don’t need to paint you a picture of what we’re saying. Whatever else is happening, Donald suddenly believing that his father was British probably isn’t a great omen for the next few years of his presidency.
