Donald Trump calls Renee Nicole Good’s death a ‘tragedy’ but only after finding out her father was ‘a tremendous Trump fan’

Donald Trump is more upset over potentially losing a supporter than the actual death of Renee Nicole Good.

Donald Trump has finally admitted that ICE made a mistake in the shooting of Renee Nicole Good although he maintains that there were “professional agitators” present when she was shot. He also made a rather insensitive remark about Good’s father, upon finding out he was a Trump supporter the president said, “I hope he still is.”

On January 20th, over the course of almost an hour, Donald Trump spoke to reporters on a range of topics and at one point touched on the shooting of Good which occurred earlier this month. Trump defended ICE but admitted that the death of the 37-year-old mother of three was a “Tragedy,” according to PEOPLE. This is a stark contrast to his initial reaction to the shooting which saw the president blame her for her own death.

He also mentioned Good’s father, who just so happened to be a huge Trump supporter (and might still be for all we know). “We feel terrible. I felt horribly when I was told that the young woman had the tragedy. But when I learned her father is a — I hope he still is, but I don’t know — was a tremendous Trump fan.”

Trump laments the loss of a supporter

It’s nice to see Trump clearly has his priorities straight. It almost seems like he’s more upset over the prospect of losing a supporter who was “all for Trump” and “Loved Trump,” in his words. But then again, that is how Trump’s mind works, it’s always all about him.

It’s also not yet confirmed that Doanld Trump is even telling the truth here. How does he know anything about Good’s father? Who told him that he was a Trump supporter. This could easily be just another lie or confused statement from the president who slowly seems to be losing the plot.

Still, it’s certainly a surprise to hear him admit that ICE made a mistake, although it’s unlikely we’ll see anything significant come from this admission. The president was quick to brush it off, stating, “[ICE is] dealing with rough people. They’re gonna make a mistake sometimes. It can happen.”

Trump also claimed that there were “professional agitators” present at the scene, “there was another woman that was screaming, ‘Shame. Shame. Shame. Shame.’ So loud. Like a professional opera singer.” He blamed these so-called agitators for wanting “to see our country do badly.” However, his claim is baseless, it’s pretty much just another excuse to allow the ICE agents who made this “mistake” get off scott-free.

As for Renee Nicole Good’s father, it’s unclear whether or not he is still a fan of Trump or whether he ever really was. If he was, it’s hard to imagine anyone still supporting the president after the things Trump said following her death.
