Donald Trump forgets to mention fallen soldiers in his Memorial Day message but remembers to call out ‘scum’ that want to ‘destroy our country’

It seems Donald Trump was so preoccupied with spreading hate with his Memorial Day message that he forgot what the whole thing was supposed to be about: remembering fallen soldiers.

In Typical Trump fashion, the pea-brained president took to Truth Social to type out a lengthy rant in which he resorted to name-calling, taking numerous shots at political opponents and spreading outright lies. And of course, the entire thing is written in caps.

The message begins by wishing a “Happy memorial day to all, including the scum that spent the last four years trying to destroy our country.” Gotta say, that’s one hell of a way to start out a message, nobody does passive aggressive quite like Donald Trump. From there he delves into the usual talking points.

He accuses the previous administration of allowing “21,000,000 million” people into the country, many of whom he claims are “criminals” or “mentally insane.” He also calls out the judges who are “on a mission” to keep these supposedly dangerous people in the U.S. Sure, let’s just ignore the fact that we know the Trump administration has already deported a handful of innocent people and so far refused to do anything to get them back.

Donald Trump forgets what Memorial Day is about

From his post to Truth Social it’s blatantly obvious that Trump doesn’t care about honoring the memory of fallen soldiers. To him it’s just another excuse to go on one of his unhinged tirades spouting hatred and lies about Democrats and minority groups. The worst part is that his supporters lap this stuff up, nobody seems willing to call him out on his disrespectful posts because MAGA is a cult.

Thankfully outside of the echo chamber that is Truth Social people have enough brain cells to be capable of criticizing the president. One person wrote, “Draft dodger Donald Trump wouldn’t know anything about sacrifice.”

For context, Trump allegedly admitted to his former lawyer that he made up an injury to avoid being sent to Vietnam in the late sixties.

Another individual did a side-by-side comparison between former VP Kamala Harris’ Memorial Day statement and Trump’s. Guess which one was the more respectful and tasteful of the two.

A third angry individual asked “Americans are ok with this? The MAGA Cult is ok with this?” They then warned that the president’s message seems to actively encourage violence against immigrants and even U.S. judges. Trump has effectively put a target on these people’s backs.

Unfortunately this is just par for the course with Trump now. We’re so desensitized to his deranged behavior that many don’t even see an issue with the dangerous rhetoric he’s posting.
