Donald Trump defended his use of profanity in a recent social media post concerning Iran. The president addressed a reporter’s question about his shocking, expletive-filled Easter morning Truth Social message during an Easter celebration at the White House. Per People Magazine, he told the reporter, “Only to make my point,” adding that such language wasn’t new for him.
As the conflict with Iran, initiated by the United States and Israel enters its third month, Trump’s social media activity has been a flurry of aggressive statements, threats, claims of military action against Iran, all while throwing a tantrum over the crucial Strait of Hormuz. His Easter morning post garnered significant attention, even earning rebukes from expected figures like Marjorie Taylor Green and unexpected people like Piers Morgan.
He opened with a threat, “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one,” then emphatically stated, “Open the F—in’ Strait, you crazy b——s, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!” However, it followed a post from the previous day, April 4th, that reminded everyone of a previous ten-day ultimatum he had given, “Time is running out – 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them. Glory be to GOD! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
Imagine getting so riled up that you forget which religion you follow
Over the last seven days, the president’s posts have painted a picture of intense military operations and the supposed decimation of Iranian infrastructure. On April 5, he claimed a “massive strike in Tehran” had “terminated” many of Iran’s military leaders, whom he described as having led “poorly and unwisely.”
Earlier in the week, on April 2, he shared a video of what he claimed was the biggest bridge in Iran collapsing, stating it would “never be used again.” He promised “Much more to follow!” and reiterated that it was “TIME FOR IRAN TO MAKE A DEAL BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE, AND THERE IS NOTHING LEFT OF WHAT STILL COULD BECOME A GREAT COUNTRY!”

The destruction of bridges and power plants appears to be a consistent theme. On April 3, he warned that the military “hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran,” explicitly listing “Bridges next, then Electric Power Plants!” These threats underscore a clear objective: to pressure Iran into compliance by targeting vital infrastructure.
A central demand in all of Trump’s posts is the immediate and unrestricted opening of the Strait of Hormuz. On April 3, he got creepy: “With a little more time, we can easily OPEN THE HORMUZ STRAIT, TAKE THE OIL, & MAKE A FORTUNE. IT WOULD BE A ‘GUSHER’ FOR THE WORLD???”
Amidst these intense, crazy rants, Trump has claimed destroying Iran’s Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells, and Kharg Island, would be retribution for “our many soldiers, and others, that Iran has butchered and killed over the old Regime’s 47-year Reign of Terror.'” It has been a constant, conflicting barrage of ceasefire promises, followed by unstable threats.
Where it becomes more of a tantrum is when he expresses frustration with certain allies. On March 31, he criticized France for being “VERY UNHELPFUL” by not allowing planes carrying military supplies to Israel to fly over French territory. So he threatened them: “The U.S.A. will REMEMBER!!!” Later that same day, he aimed at the United Kingdom and other countries struggling to get jet fuel.
First was an offer to sell, then a taunt, “build up some delayed courage, go to the Strait, and just TAKE IT.” He declared, “You’ll have to start learning how to fight for yourself, the U.S.A. won’t be there to help you anymore, just like you weren’t there for us. Iran has been, essentially, decimated. The hard part is done. Go get your own oil! President DJT.”
When asked about Americans who don’t support the war, Trump simply replied, “They’re foolish.” He argued that if the U.S. hadn’t broken the Iran nuclear deal, “Israel would’ve been gone, extinguished,” and “the entire Middle East would’ve been at a minimum, in big trouble.”
