Donald Trump goes ‘creepy,’ reminds Americans to give him money since he is sitting ‘alone’ with a ‘dying laptop’

Oh, boo-hoo

Donald Trump is a grifter through and through. The president seemingly has no shame when it comes to begging for donations from his supporters and he’s shown he’ll pull out all the stops to get what he wants, even if that involves sending out what many have deemed to be a “creepy” email which tries to pull on the heartstrings of his most loyal followers.

Trump’s email has already received plenty of negative attention online, with many mocking the blatant attempt to garner sympathy by painting the president as a solitary figure, working late in his dark office, drafting an email to beg for money. Supposedly the message comes from Trump himself, but compared to his usual writing style this is completely different, no random capitalization or overuse of exclamation marks, just a quiet, self-pitying, wall of text.

“I’m sitting here alone.” the message begins, “Alone. In the war room. Fighting for you. The rest of the staff went home hours ago.” Straight away the tone the email is trying to convey is obvious, you can practically hear the violins playing in the background.

The message continues: “It’s just me, one dying laptop, and the 72-hour countdown clock to my first mid-month deadline of the year just rang.” All we can glean from this is that Donald Trump doesn’t know how to plug in a laptop charger. The sob story goes on and on, but the gist of it is that Trump is working very hard, you should feel sorry for him, and blah blah blah. Cry me a river, Mr. President.

Trump’s message is just weird and creepy

It’s safe to say that the email did not have the intended effect on most. On X it was labeled “creepy” and “disgusting.” It’s such a weirdly personal message to send out to supporters but then again, we can’t forget that at this point, MAGA is pretty much a cult, these people adore Trump and so it’s unlikely they’d even see anything wrong with the message.

It’s clear that all his only goal is to wring as much money out of his less intelligent supporters as possible. Evidently he’s already wasted all the money he apparently saved from gutting healthcare last year.

We haven’t even touched on the fact that there’s almost a 0% chance that this was written by Trump himself. It’s just not his style. It seems too controlled, too melancholic, to be written by him, read his Truth Social posts and try to argue this is the same man writing this email. Some suspected some poor intern was given the task of writing it which sounds more likely to be the case.

Despite the obvious attempt at emotional manipulation, and the almost certainty that Trump himself didn’t write this, there are still supporters out there that no doubt fell for this hook, line, and sinker. They probably donated a lot of money too.
