Donald Trump’s new fever dream – apparently, the President of France went from ‘no, we won’t’ to begging him in minutes

Nobody believes Macron said this but Trump.

Donald Trump really loves telling tall tales. Oftentimes his lies are so ridiculous you have to wonder who actually believes the words coming out of his mouth, for example, his latest claims about French president, Emmanuel Macron “begging” Trump to raise the prices of prescription drugs.

On Tuesday Donald Trump bragged to Republicans at the newly renamed Trump-Kennedy Center claiming that he had successfully forced France to agree to triple its drug prices by threatening a 25% increase in tariffs otherwise. The U.S. president claimed that his negotiation with Macron was supposed to address the difference in price American consumers pay for drug prices compared to consumers in foreign countries.

Trump then went on to mock the French President, mimicking his voice as he shared what Macron supposedly told him, “Donald uhh you have a deal. I would love to increase my prescription drug prices by 200%.”

Apparently in Trump’s fantasy world Macron even begged him to raise the prices saying, “Whatever you want Donald, please. Please Donald! I beg you!” Trump also claimed that Macron asked him, “Don’t tell the population!”

The clip of him making a mockery of another world leader was quickly shared online with many criticizing Trump for his attitude and for only really succeeding in humiliating himself rather than Macron.

Nobody believes Emmanuel Macron really said this to Trump

Of course, we all know that Trump isn’t really in touch with reality in many ways. He’s been caught out in a lie more times than we can count and it’s gotten to the point where people wonder if he’s even capable of telling the truth.

While Macron may have given in to Trump’s demands due to the pressure put upon him, people aren’t buying the claim that he begged the U.S. president to increase the prices of drugs in France. X user, @ilmarmors called Trump’s recollection of the negotiation, “a Wattpad story written by a man who thinks diplomacy is a game.” Another individual simply wrote, “Odds this never happened.”

Trump can only get away with so many ridiculous lies and it seems this might be too big a lie to swallow for many. Trump is apparently so deluded that he has to imagine his political allies and opponents literally fawning over him or begging him just so he can feel good about himself.

Some questioned if he was sundowning and may be suffering from dementia, something which many people have been wondering for a long time. His embarrassing conduct certainly seems like the behavior of someone who may be losing their mind a little bit.
