‘Even lost Fox News’: Trump’s top spin gremlin took a break from groveling to bash Obama claims

Even Trump's most loyal defenders can see through this blatant attempt to turn Obama into a scapegoat.

Donald Trump and his administration are trying their hardest to distract us all with false narratives surrounding former president, Barack Obama. Unfortunately for them it’s not working and even the more vocal pro-Trump outlets like Fox News are able to see through what the likes of Tulsi Gabbard are trying to do.

In a scathing opinion piece for Fox News a former CIA officer, who served a senior role on Obama’s National Security Council, criticizes DNI Tulsi Gabbard’s attempts to “divert attention from other problems.” Ned Price closely examines the accusations against Obama and the supposed evidence Gabbard provides but unlike most Trump supporters, Price actually knows what he’s talking about.

What did Tulsi Gabbard say about Obama?

The DNI has been looking into the integrity of the 2016 election and has now spun an interesting story. She accuses Barack Obama and other prominent figures from his administration of engaging in a far-reaching conspiracy to “lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President [Trump].”

She accused the former president of engaging in a “treasonous conspiracy” as she claims officials lied about findings which stated Russia did not “hack” the 2016 elections. A report later requested by Obama in December 2016 found that Russia did in fact try to influence the election by hindering Hilary Clinton’s campaign. This seemingly conflicts with the intelligence communities initial findings. According to Gabbard, this was enough to prove Obama was trying to sabotage Trump.

If this sounds rather far-fetched that’s because it is. Gabbard has no evidence to support the claim that Obama was trying to stage a coup and Price is quick to point that out. He accuses the Intelligence Director of trying to “re-write history” and claims she is fabricating a scandal in order to cover up the very real scandal involving the Epstein files.

Donald Trump’s supporters are turning

On X, California Governor Gavin Newsom shared a screenshot of the opinion piece along with a caption that read, “When you’ve even lost Fox News…”

Fox News is an outlet that’s typically more inclined to defend the Trump administration, this article from Ned Price suggests that this latest lie is simply too big a pill to swallow. The government is outright fabricating stories and people like Price believe that it’s all in the name of burying any talk about Epstein.

Responses to Newsom’s post pointed out that, as it was an opinion piece, it didn’t necessarily reflect the political leanings of the publication. However, it’s difficult to see how anyone could swallow the torrent of crap being spewed by this administration. Plenty of people believe that Tulsi’s investigation is a way of deflecting by finding a scapegoat in Obama.
