‘Focus on the bill!’: White House staff desperately calming furious Trump to stop him lashing out at Musk

They're desperately trying to keep him off Truth Social.

We all know Donald Trump is a thin-skinned drama queen with a talent when it comes to insults and nicknames. All of which means it’s surprising that he’s been so restrained during the ongoing Musk meltdown.

The Trump we’re familiar with would be ready with a brutal put-down via a few taps of his fingers with a post on Truth Social, particularly after Musk dropped a bombshell alleging he’s involved in child sex crimes with Jeffrey Epstein.

But, so far, he’s been surprisingly subdued. His only comment on TruthSocial is: “I don’t mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago”, before moving on to his ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’. When asked about Musk directly by a journalist, Trump struck a calm tone: “Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will any more.”

Now we may know what’s going on in the Oval Office. As per a report in Politico, Trump is, in reality, incandescent with rage about Musk and wants nothing more than to hit back hard with a brutal Truth Social post to put him in his place. But, knowing this risks tossing gasoline on an already raging fire, White House aides have been pleading with him to stay calm, at least in public.

So far, they’ve succeeded, arguing that any public blow-ups will distract from his ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ getting through the Senate. They’re probably right, though we doubt Trump will remain muzzled for long. No doubt right now he’s simmering in the Oval Office as cutting insults spin through his mind, his fingers twitching as he fights the urge to pull out his phone and transmit them to the world.

Are you really going to just take this?!

I can only urge him to do so. C’mon, Mr President! Are you really going to let this jumped-up, drug-addled loser insult you in public and get away with it? Everyone should know that disrespecting Donald J. Trump comes with major consequences, and this creepy little weirdo who’s been hanging around the White House like a bad smell more than has it coming. So, sneak off to the bathroom, whip out that phone, and give us a dose of the freewheelin’ Trump that used to dominate Twitter!

Every minute that passes, he’s laughing harder at you, and the respect of your fans is draining away. You cannot – will not – let this insult stand! It’s time to fight back. Now!
