Gavin Newsom just escalated his feud with Trump with an AI video showing the president somewhere he’s never been before

Political beef now comes with CGI special effects.

Gavin Newsom has just taken his fight with the Trump administration to a whole new level. The California Governor has posted an AI-generated video on X showing President Donald Trump and his top aides handcuffed in the back of a police car.

The video features President Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller with their hands tied behind their backs. Text reading “It’s cuffing season” flashes across the screen as the three men raise their cuffed hands to their faces and appear to cry.

The clip ends with the men walking toward courthouse doors, surrounded by police, reporters, and people recording on their phones. The video uses R&B singer SZA’s song Big Boy, which includes the lyric “It’s cuffing season.” Newsom’s post was a response to the White House’s own video from December 8, which showed federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arresting immigrants.

The White House captioned that post, “WE HEARD IT’S CUFFING SZN. Bad news for criminal illegal aliens. Great news for America.” Newsom used the same theme and music to suggest that Trump and his team deserve to be arrested instead.

SZA blasts the White House for using her music without permission

SZA publicly condemned the White House on X for using her song to promote immigrant detention. She wrote that the administration was “rage baiting artists for free promo” and called it “PEAK DARK ..inhumanity +shock and aw tactics ..Evil n Boring.” The singer made it clear she did not approve of her music being used for this political message.

This is not the first time the Trump administration has faced backlash from artists. Musicians like Adele and Rihanna have previously condemned Trump for using their songs at rallies without permission.

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter recently called the White House’s use of her song for an ICE video “evil and disgusting.” She demanded they “do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”

Trump has also faced criticism for his heavy use of AI in political messaging. The President recently weighed in on major media merger discussions while continuing his digital battles with political opponents.

Newsom’s latest post on X indicates that the feud between the California Governor and the President shows no signs of stopping. AI-generated videos have become a main tool in their ongoing rivalry, and both sides continue to escalate their digital attacks against each other.
