‘Hell has frozen’ over since Tucker Carlson of all people is calling out ‘bad actors’ using Charlie Kirk’s death

A few names in the Trump administration have been targeting the First Amendment in wake of Kirk's death.

Tucker Carlson appears to have had an epiphany as he has finally made a good point we can all agree on. During a recent live video on his YouTube channel, the former Fox News host warned against using the death of Charlie Kirk as an excuse to attack free speech, something which he clearly fears this current administration is capable of and willing to do.

A short excerpt from his two hour livestream has since gone viral online as people expressed shock at seeing one of Trump’s most vocal supporters speak out against what he labeled as “bad actors” seeking to benefit from Kirk’s death by destroying the first amendment. Carlson expressed his hopes that the “turmoil we’re seeing in the aftermath of this murder won’t be leveraged to bring hate speech laws into this country.”

One person on X was so shocked by Carlson’s stance they claimed “Hell has frozen over.”

Tucker Carlson warns of a dystopian future

The political commentator went on to warn viewers of the potentially nightmarish future he believes could potentially be realized. “If they can tell you what to say, they’re telling you what to think, there is nothing they can’t do to you.” He also states that if such laws against freedom of speech were to be brought in then “there is never a more justified moment for civil disobedience.”

It’s quite a sobering moment to hear a man who has spent a lot of his time spewing MAGA rhetoric speak out against Trump and his government. Then again, it’s not entirely unheard of for Carlson to do so, he’s been more confident as of late in calling out the president and his buddies. Still, people on X were surprised to hear such defiant words coming out of his mouth.

“Wow! How bad it’s gotten…” one concerned individual on X wrote, “never thought in a bazillion years I’d retweet Tucker, Mike pence or Candace Owens but here I am,” added another. Some even commended Carlson for taking a stand, “Thank you Tucker for standing up for something real for once.” However, not everyone felt the same, “Even a broken clock is right twice a day,” wrote one, “He’s right but that doesn’t mean he is sane nor should we normalize him.”

Funnily enough, Carlson’s stance isn’t far off that of Jimmy Kimmel. Earlier this week the popular talk show host saw his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! taken off air indefinitely after daring to suggest that MAGA were using Kirk’s death to further their agenda and “scoring political points.” Will Tucker Carlson be next on the chopping block now that he’s called out Trump’s administration in much the same way?
