‘I fell for it’: Disllusioned Trump cheerleader admits MAGA was ‘greatest PSYOP ever perpetrated on the American people’

The wool is finally falling from their eyes.

A worrying number of Donald Trump‘s loudest supporters are in so deep they’re going to stick with him until the bitter end. But, with the economy cratering, the humiliation of the Epstein revelations, Trump’s brutal dismissal of them as idiots, some are realizing the Trump train isn’t going anywhere and admitting they’ve been conned.

Case in point: Breck “ThePatrioticBlonde” Worsham on X, a three-time Trump voter who worked on his presidential campaign. Worsham has taken a look back at almost a decade of MAGA messaging and concluded it was a “psyop” designed to harm America. And she swallowed the bait hook, line, and sinker:

That MAGA as a whole was an active and intentional conspiracy is pushing things a bit far, but it’s safe to say that America’s enemies rubbed their hands with glee after Trump’s victories in 2016 and 2024.

After all, while Trump’s future actions were unpredictable, it was a safe guarantee that the chaos he inevitably generates and the morons he appoints to high office would damage the United States’ economy, its military, and harm its foreign policy goals. This has indeed proved to be the case.

Time to figure out what comes after MAGA?

At this point, many in MAGA are quietly trying to figure out what comes after Trump. The man himself is still incessantly teasing a third term in 2028, but even if he wants to, it’s becoming apparent that age and ill health mean he isn’t the man he once was now, let alone in three years.

MAGA was fuelled by Trump’s unique brand of shamelessness, absolute self-confidence, and charisma. Like him or loathe him, there’s nobody else out there like Trump, and when he dies (which could be any day), any replacement will struggle to unite the right as he has.

All that said, for now, Worsham is still in a minority. Even as the economy collapses and Trump gleefully stabs his former supporters in the back, they’ll stick their heads in the sand and insist that, actually, everything’s fine.

But Trump can’t blame Joe Biden forever, and as MAGA loses their jobs, their homes, and can’t afford to eat, even the most passionate red-hat-wearing goober may come to the same conclusion. It was all a swindle, and someone else is getting rich off your pain.
