ICE sinks to new low – uses 5yo child as bait to catch his family

ICE agents have proven themselves once again to be heartless and unfeeling as a group of the masked thugs were seen detaining five-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and proceeding to use him as bait to arrest the young boy’s relatives too.

The shocking incident has once again sparked furious discussion online as people call out the barbarous treatment of such a young child and the downright evil way in which he was used to detain his own family. ICE agents are no strangers to using trickery and manipulation to catch their targets, they’ll do whatever it takes, no matter how immoral and unconstitutional.

According to the Mirror, the incident took place in Columbia and according to the Columbia Heights Public School district, four students have allegedly been detained by ICE agents over the past couple of weeks.

One of those children was Liam Conejo Ramos. Columbia Heights superintendent, Zena Stenvik, stated that Ramos was stopped by ICE agents on the driveway to his home as he returned from school with his father. Another adult in the home allegedly “begged the agents to let him take care of the small child and was refused.”

The agents then allegedly used Ramos to lure relatives out of their home, taking him out of the car and leading him to the door before instructing him to knock and ask to be let in. Afterwards the agents placed Ramos and his father in a vehicle and took them to Texas.

“Why detain a five-year-old?” Stenvik asked, “You can’t tell me that this child is going to be classified as a violent criminal.” She explained that the young boy’s family has an “active asylum case” and no deportation orders. Many who defend ICE’s actions claim that the federal agency is only targeting criminals but this case proves that they’ll target just about anyone. There is no valid reason to target Liam Conejo Ramos and his family and yet these federal thugs went ahead and did so anyway.

Online, people expressed their disgust at the horrific situation. One person summed it up accurately, saying, “A masked man grabbed a toddler off the street in broad daylight.” How is any of this ok? How are people not disgusted by what’s taking place?

Marc Prokosch, a lawyer representing the family claimed that they have not been told exactly where Liam and his father are being detained which is sadly par for the course with this current administration. Prokosch believes the pair are being held in a Texas family detention center but can’t say for sure.

Liam Conejo Ramos is one of four students under the age of 18 that were kidnapped by ICE in the past couple of weeks. Stenvik claims agents are “roaming our neighbourhoods, circling our schools, following our buses,” when will this madness end?
