‘I’m 51 and training’: Great, now Marjorie Taylor Greene is hauling a giant ball and bragging about it on the internet

What is she in training for?!

If you’ve ever felt a burning desire to see Marjorie Taylor Greene doing squats in gym shorts, it’s your lucky day! America’s most confusing politician is currently simultaneously to the right of Trump and to the left of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on various issues, though must to be given credit for her staunch opposition to Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

But Greene wants us to put that aside for a moment and check out her exercise routine. Over on X, she posted a video of her sprinting down her driveway with a medicine ball clutched to her shoulder, her bulging bicep on display.

To the rousing beats of Diamond to Dust’s “The Kill” she heads into her garage and begins tossing it up the wall and performing squats. All this is captioned with: “I’m 51 and training to live my fullest life. What are you training for?”

What we’re supposed to make if this is unclear. I guess she’s proud of her athletic ability at age 51 and wants to show off her progress to the world? But we have to wonder what Greene considers her “fullest life” to be.

Training for a life after politics?

It’s possible she’s recognizing that she may face a tougher-than-expected challenge in the 2026 midterms. She represents Georgia’s staunchly Republican 14th Congressional District, which is vanishingly unlikely to elect any kind of Democrat. However, she may see a challenge from within the GOP, particularly given that she’s dramatically broken with them over Israel.

If she did lose her seat, a career as a conservative talking head or on right-wing rolling news feels inevitable. As such, it’s very much in Greene’s best interests to keep in shape, keep looking good and keep living that “fullest life”.

Or, as the comments theorize, she may be posting some test videos teasing a future career in reality TV. Perhaps reality TV is ultimately the best place for this volatile drama elemental to flourish? After all, her family life is almost as chaotic as her politics: she gets frequently “swatted”, her romantic life is… tangled, and she’s more than willing to expose her children to the media.

And, as a bonus, if she’s wrapped up in some multi-year contract to parade her tangled life around on Starz or something, at least she’s not even remotely near the levers of actual power!
