Is Kamala Harris plotting to take down Joe Biden? Because Biden is reportedly preparing for a war

Biden isn't playing around with his reputation.

A possible political clash seems to be forming between the former administration of President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris, sparked by the upcoming release of Harris’s new memoir. Political analyst Mark Halperin told 2Way’s The Morning Meeting that if Harris’ book, 107 Days, includes any criticism of Biden’s time in office, his team is ready to release a wave of negative stories about her readiness for the vice presidency and a potential future presidential campaign.

Halperin suggested that Biden’s close advisors have a stockpile of damaging stories prepared to use if they feel threatened by Harris’ upcoming book. The political commentator made a strong comparison of these details, calling these possible revelations “Palin-esque.”

Halperin said, “If the Biden people decide that Kamala Harris is coming after Joe Biden, wait until you hear the Palin-esque stories about how much they tried to help her be prepared to be vice president and be in a position to run, and how they decided, ‘not happening. She’s not up to this,’ and if the Biden people feel threatened, you will hear stories about Kamala Harris as vice president that will not make her look good.”

Biden has a strong warning for Kamala Harris

This term refers back to the 2008 presidential campaign, when negative details came out about former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s performance as Senator John McCain’s running mate. McCain’s later memoir, published in 2018, reportedly expressed his regrets about choosing Palin. Halperin’s use of this comparison suggests that a similar feeling of disappointment or doubt about Harris’s abilities may exist within Biden’s former team.

This parallel points to a deeper concern about Harris’s political skills, going beyond normal political disagreements to question her leadership qualities more fundamentally. Halperin also discussed the alleged efforts by the Biden administration to strengthen Harris’s position. He mentioned that the former president himself was said to be very protective of her and that there was a strong push to ensure her success in her role.

As Halperin explained, “[T]he folks in the Biden administration, including the president himself, were very protective of her, did their best to make her a success, did their best to make her ready to be president either if Joe Biden left office prematurely or if she decided she wanted to run. If you look at her public schedule, you’ll see she had, I think, an unprecedented number of meetings with world leaders. Certainly, every opportunity, whether they were in Washington or when she traveled overseas, she met a lot of world leaders. They tried to get her up to speed, but she was not quite ready for prime time. Let me put it that way.”
