Lauren Boebert has the look of a woman who’s belatedly realized she may have made some poor decisions in life. Formerly one of Trump’s fiercest cheerleaders, she dramatically broke with him last year when she joined Marjorie Taylor Greene and Nancy Mace to vote for the Epstein files release.
The White House pleaded with all three women not to vote with Democrats to release the files, with Boerbet being pressured by the Justice Department and FBI officials to withdraw her name.
But Boebert stood firm, and now we are where we are, with millions of pages of Epstein files made public and a lot of powerful people with some difficult questions to answer about their close involvement with the modern era’s most notorious pedophile.
This story isn’t over yet by a long shot as the files released were heavily redacted. Everyone agrees that the victims’ identities should be concealed. But the rich and powerful bragging about torture videos, underage girls, and violent acts? Why should they get to be anonymous?
Now, lawmakers have been granted limited access to the unredacted files at a secure government facility in DC. Boebert took advantage and left looking like she’d learned some disturbing new information:
Boebert seems PISSED after viewing unredacted Epstein Files.

While being quizzed about her visit, she confirmed she’s seen “some of them”, that’s she’s “going back tomorrow to see more”, and was then asked for her reaction:
“I think there’s folks who are definitely implicated and co-conspirators and I don’t think everyone there that was talking about underage girls being trafficked are victims.”
“Ghislaine Maxwell should get more time in jail”
Boebert also firmly underlined that she absolutely does not support any kind of clemency deal for Ghislaine Maxwell:
“I think Ghislaine Maxwell should get more time in jail and she should definitely be in a harsher prison than what she’s in. It’s absolutely disgusting.”
Jamie Raskin, House Judiciary ranking member, has also viewed the unredacted files, confirming that there were “tons of completely unnecessary redactions” and that it appeared to him that the Justice Department was in full “cover-up mode”.
All of which means you can expect a drip feed of new Epstein revelations for months to come. If this whole saga is depressing you, try to take comfort in the fact that as you read this, many wealthy and powerful people who thought they were untouchable are currently quaking in their boots, knowing that their emails are in the Epstein files, and praying their names won’t be unredacted.
Here’s hoping the rock is lifted and all these horrifying creatures are exposed to the harsh light of justice. We want the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!
