So it turns out, the director of the FBI, Kash Patel doesn’t like office settings and would rather spend his time jet skiing and having fun on the beach. Perhaps he’s in the wrong line of work if that’s the case. But while he may be happy to mess around and shirk his duties, it seems he’s expecting other intelligence leaders from around the world to do the same and accommodate his juvenile desires.
It seems Patel is certainly making the most of the perks that come with such a high-ranking position with reports even suggesting that the FBI director has been using his power to try and impress his girlfriend, (because he probably doesn’t have much else to offer).
Every year, in May, the heads of every intelligence agency meet for what’s known as the Five Eyes conference. As you can imagine, it’s quite an important event and it’s vital that intelligence leaders take it seriously and do their best to avoid any sensitive leaks. Well apparently that’s just not how Kash Patel rolls.
An article from the New York Times features a plethora of complaints from those in the intelligence community who are sick of Patel already. Last year the Five Eyes conference was supposed to happen in the U.K. but according to one senior executive, the Brits quickly became “p—ed” with Patel’s disinterested attitude.
Kash Patel wanted intelligence heads to meet on his terms
Before the conference had even begun, Patel’s staff had warned that the FBI director was unhappy because “he doesn’t like meetings in office settings.” They went on to list things he does like, which include social events, football matches, and jet skiing. It seems little Kash hasn’t managed to wrap his head around the concept of a job and adult responsibilities yet. We get it, work can be hard for a 45-year-old guy who just wants to have fun.
This message confused the British intelligence as they asked, “Is he really going to ask the MI5 director to go jet skiing instead of meeting?” Obviously this would be a huge no-no, a day out at the beach is hardly the place for intelligence heads to meet up for sensitive discussions, but again, Patel is just coasting like the fraud he is.
This is just one of many examples that prove Kash Patel is only in it for the expensive perks his job affords him, perks that are paid for by the taxpayer might I add. Patel is an embarrassment to the intelligence community, but shockingly, he’s not even the worst person Trump has appointed to a role as the head of a federal department.
