Just 24 hours after the Venezuela strikes, the MAGA elite are shamelessly treating a NATO ally as their next target. On Sunday, Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller’s wife, Katie Miller, posted an evil Greenland takeover wish on X. We’re officially ruining our global relations now.
The Trump administration is taking no breathers after literally kidnapping the president of Venezuela on January 3. The very next day, Katie Miller posted an incendiary image of Greenland draped in the American flag. She shared it with the single-word caption: “SOON.” Mind you, she’s not a random nobody on the internet. Her husband is literally a key architect of the Trump administration’s most aggressive policies.
Miller’s post landed just hours after U.S. forces concluded their raid on Venezuela. More importantly, it was right after Trump told The Atlantic that “we do need Greenland, absolutely” for defense. He also refused to rule out using force to achieve this “annexation.” Because why use diplomacy when you can act like we’re in a World War?
It’s disgraceful that our actual allies in NATO have to wonder if they’re next on Trump’s hit list. One X user put it best, calling the move “outrageous.” They noted, “to even hint at taking over a sovereign democratic friend and ally is shameful.” And Greenland and Denmark aren’t exactly rolling out the red carpet for their would-be colonizers either.
Denmark and Greenland responded to Katie Miller’s post, threatened Trump
Greenlandic Premier Jens Frederik Nielsen slammed Miller’s post as “disrespectful,” stating firmly that “our country is not for sale.” He asserted that their “future is not decided by social media posts.” Nielsen also reassured Greenland citizens, telling them there is “neither reason for panic nor for concern.” He continued,
“Naalakkersuisut (Government of Greenland) continues its work calmly and responsibly. We engage in dialogue, safeguard our interests, and uphold the international rules that also bind our partners. There is no reason for panic. But there is every reason to speak out against a lack of respect.”
The Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, was more direct. She strictly urged Trump to “stop the threats,” reminding him that “the U.S. has no right to annex” any part of the Danish kingdom (via BBC). Denmark’s ambassador to the U.S. even had to drop a “friendly reminder” that they’ve already spent billions on Arctic security. He bluntly wrote on X:
“Just a friendly reminder about the US and the Kingdom of Denmark: We are close allies and should continue to work together as such… The Kingdom of Denmark has significantly boosted its Arctic security efforts – in 2025 alone, we committed USD 13,7 bn that can be used in the Arctic and North Atlantic. Because we take our joint security seriously. And yes, we expect full respect for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark.”
Social media users also unleashed their fury on Miller, telling her to be ashamed of herself. One Greenland citizen on X wrote, “I hope you are left with a bitter taste in your mouth.” He also warned that “America’s reputation is in free fall” because of people with a rotten mind like hers.
Katie Miller’s post proves how the Trump administration views global stability as a video game. As another user said, it’s both “pathological and immoral.” Her mentality looks frighteningly similar to some of history’s darkest regimes. And to have such people influencing the top ranks of the government, it’s concerning. America seems to be driving in reverse to a mindset that would make the 19th-century colonizers blush.
