Laura Loomer tells America Marjorie Taylor Greene’s plan to get Donald Trump assasinated

"We should all pray for President Trump."

Laura Loomer has just coined a new term: the “Woke Reich.” And she is convinced it will somehow lead to another assassination attempt on the president. In this group, she includes conservative figures like Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie, and even Nick Fuentes.

Loomer appears deeply concerned by Donald Trump’s recent depressive public appearances, where he has been lamenting that many people want to see him die and that he is unsure whether he will get into heaven. Loomer is probably the closest an influencer can get to Trump, so it is understandable why she would rush to defend him. She has simply chosen an unforeseen angle. According to Loomer, this is all somehow the result of wokeness and antisemitism.

The term “woke” has long had an extremely flexible definition in conservative circles, so it is truly anyone’s guess how figures like Carlson and Fuentes would qualify. That said, all of them have been accused of antisemitism at one point or another. Loomer is now accusing these figures of being anti-Israel conspiracy theorists with far-right isolationist views, which is somewhat ironic given that Loomer herself is an unabashed far-right conspiracy theorist.

What Loomer actually seems to have a problem with is tying Trump to the late child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Loomer wrote, “The attempted assassin at Mar-a-Lago wanted to murder President Trump over the Epstein Files, and he was an avid supporter of Thomas Massie.” She continued, “Members of the Woke Reich are posting videos calling for people to storm the White House with guns to murder Trump under the false premise that he is ‘controlled by [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu.’”

This eventually led to Loomer getting into an argument with her peer Fuentes, during which Fuentes posted a stream praising Epstein. While Loomer may have believed this would function as an exposé, Fuentes simply embraced it. On that corner of the internet, the worse you present yourself to an audience — by rejecting not only political correctness but basic human decency — the more endearing you become to the far right.

Ultimately, Loomer does touch on something real. The runaway far-right movement has been spreading antisemitism and has increasingly flirted with political violence as a solution to its problems. However, figures like Carlson and Massie have largely addressed their differences through political debate as a way of getting their message across — disturbing as those messages may be, much like Charlie Kirk’s.

What was more confusing about Loomer’s position was her sudden stand against conspiracy theories. In the very post where she raged against conspiracies, she also made an unsubstantiated claim that Trump is not receiving full information from the staff around him. She named no individuals or departments. Loomer then added the ominous suggestion that Trump needs prayers because his life is at risk.

When all of this is taken together, there is little doubt that, for the MAGA faithful, this rhetoric could easily put a battery in their pack — the sense that they must do something to “protect” the president. In the end, Loomer appears to be the very problem she claims to be fighting.
