It’s cute that former and current MAGA officials think they can just ruin everyone’s lives and then waltz back into society as if nothing has changed. And so, you’ll occasionally see some ghoulish Trump figure clutching their purse to their chest in indignation that the public has dared to call them out for the evil they do.
Enter Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Remember her? Y’know, the Karoline Leavitt of the first Trump administration, ready and willing to spew out whatever nonsense Trump fed to her. Unfortunately for the people of Arkansas she’s now their governor, but it seems her actions are coming back to haunt her.
Huckabee Sanders took to X last night to grouse that she’d been kicked out of an Arkansas restaurant because the employees absolutely did not want her there:
Last week I was having lunch with two other moms at a restaurant when the owner approached a member of the State Police Executive Protection Detail and said my presence made their employees feel threatened and told us to leave.

Arkansans are known for their warm hospitality, and… https://t.co/oYtZQNkX8o
“No amount of evil you send our way can ever take our smiles away!”
The restaurant – The Croissanterie – later released their own statement, clarifying exactly what really happened. They say her presence caused both employees and guests “discomfort”, but that she was served just like anybody else before being asked to leave “in line with our standard 90-minute table policy”.
This request was apparently ignored, but Sanders eventually got the message and left. As the restaurant says:
“This was not a decision made lightly. We chose to prioritize the comfort of our staff and guests while continuing to provide service respectfully and without escalation.”
An employee of the restaurant backed up that version of events, adding:
“Sarah Huckabee Sanders no amount of evil you send our way can ever take our smiles away!!! I’m proud af to work here! I’m proud to be gay and I’m proud af to be an Arkansan. My voice matters! Try again!”
Any restaurant with the courage to stand up for its employees like this deserves your business. If they look after their staff well, they’ll look after their customers too. So, if you’re looking for some delicious pastries in Little Rock, we can only suggest you pay a visit to The Croissanterie.
And, as a bonus, you can enjoy the food knowing you won’t be rubbing shoulders with some of the most evil and destructive individuals our species has ever produced!
