MAGA Karen tries to trick minimum wage barista into shouting Charlie Kirk’s name but throws a hissy-fit when she refuses

Working for Starbucks and being paid minimum wage is miserable enough as it is without even bringing politics into it. So you can only imagine how stressful it must be to deal with a right-wing Karen who’s angry at you for using your free speech to choose not to say the name Charlie Kirk’s name.

That’s right, it seems MAGA are targeting people for not saying the right thing anymore, and they’re not targeting influential or well known figures who we’re used to seeing in the spotlight oh no, they’re targeting minimum wage workers who are just trying to get by. In this case, one the right wing mob took a trip to Starbucks to try and use the employees to fuel their own bottom-of-the-barrel content.

The clip, which has since gone viral on X, shows a Starbucks barista secretly being recorded as she serves drinks. The barista is seen bringing a drink over to the woman recording rather than calling out the name. The name on the cup is “Charlie Kirk.” After bringing the cup over the woman recording remarks, “so you didn’t call his name out?” 

The employee asks what is happening as someone else points out that she’s being recorded. The argument continues for a few minutes as another employee accuses the Karen of setting the barista up for failure while the Karen claims she’s trying to make a political point. The point she’s trying to make isn’t exactly clear.

The video ends with the childish Karen being asked to leave after nearly three minutes of embarrassing herself.

Charlie Kirk advocated for free speech

One thing that MAGA seems to constantly bring up is the fact that Kirk was an advocate for free speech no matter what. The Karen in the video mentions it herself. So how does forcing a minimum wage worker to say something honoring the man’s memory in any way? “Freedom of speech isn’t exploiting a company policy to make someone else say something they don’t want to say.” Wrote one person on X.

Others gave their own responses to the situation with some suggesting they would simply throw the cup in the trash.

Once again, it’s not exactly clear what this Karen was hoping to prove with this video. The barista did everything right, even bringing the drink over. Trying to trick people into taking sides in this heated political environment is wrong and it’s not fair to put regular workers, who are just trying to make enough money to survive, in such a situation.

While MAGA have been trying to cancel people who have mocked the death of Charlie Kirk, this employee simply used their right to freedom of speech to not say something.
