‘Makeup on his hands’: J6 rioter who went to prison for Trump now claims he’s part of the deep state — is the MAGA empire crumbling?

MAGA is fed up with their orange king.

InfoWars host and J6 rioter Owen Shroyer ripped into Donald Trump in an X post over the president calling the Jeffrey Epstein case a “hoax.” Shroyer also expressed concerns over the president’s age and health, noting Trump seemed to wear “makeup on his hands.”

In his July 16 post, captioned “What the hell is wrong with Trump?,” Shroyer said, “By now, you’ve likely seen President Trump’s latest Truth Social post, basically saying the Jeffrey Epstein story is a hoax and those that are still talking about it are, from yesterday’s comments, ‘bad people’ and now his ‘past supporters.'”

Shroyer went on to compare what Trump said to what Hillary Clinton said when she called Trump’s supporters “deplorables.” He said Trump now seems to be moving on from the base that supported him from the beginning.

“At least, that’s how I take it,” Shroyer added. “So the people that have been fighting with him since 2015, the people that were in the streets for him, the people that were in prison for him, he’s moved on from us. So now we’re his past supporters, we’re hoaxers, we’re bad people.”

Trump’s age and health will become “a big story”

Shroyer then predicted that Trump’s approval ratings would plummet post-Epstein about-face. Shroyer said, “I think what’s gonna start happening is Trump’s age and health is gonna become a big story. And I will just say this. He’s wearing more makeup than he normally does, including on his hands now. He’s wearing makeup on his hands for whatever reason. So things are just getting weird.”

Shroyer’s post, indicating how deep the rift between Trump and MAGA over Epstein has become, drew responses ranging from general agreement to some standing by Trump, despite seemingly turning his back on the Epstein case, which he campaigned on.

“As you know i gave up my job essentially to tell the truth and go against sex trafficking,” one comment said. “This is a slap in the face it’s disgraceful and to say im disheartened is an understatement. You’re either against sex trafficking or you’re not there’s no middle ground.”

Who is Owen Shroyer?

Shroyer hosts The War Room with Owen Shroyer on the far‑right conspiracy‑theory platform InfoWars, operated by Alex Jones. Before joining InfoWars in 2016, he worked in St. Louis radio at KXFN and KFNS. Often aligned with alt‑right viewpoints, Shroyer has consistently promoted controversial theories. Those include casting doubt on the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

He also made headlines in December 2019 by disrupting a House impeachment hearing, accusing Democrats of treason. On January 6, 2021, Shroyer attended Trump’s “Stop the Steal” rally and marched to the Capitol, where, although he did not enter the building, he used a megaphone on the Capitol steps. There, he led chants of “USA!” and “1776!” and declared “death to tyranny,” later pleading guilty to illegally entering a restricted area—a misdemeanor.

Prosecutors accused him of contributing to the chaos by spreading election-fraud disinformation and amplifying calls to action. In September 2023, he was sentenced to 60 days in prison by Judge Timothy Kelly for “amping up” the mob.
