Marjorie Taylor Greene, weeks after being compared to a shrieking baboon, would like you to buy her monkeypox shirt

Naturally, the $34 shirt claims that monkeypox is a hoax.

If Marjorie Taylor Greene has been secretly harboring the dream of becoming 2023’s meme of the year, we have to say she has been rather dedicated to the task. After all, who else makes sure that the world is never out of reasons to question the fast-disappearing traces (if there are any, to be honest) of their sanity? So, this time she has come up with a monkeypox shirt relaying her belief that the virus — which resulted in more than 30,000 cases during the peak of its outbreak in 2022 and caused 25 deaths — has never been more than a hoax.

Once again proving that she has way too much time to come up with harebrained ideas, the Georgia Republican has now taken to selling T-shirts depicting three monkey emojis, followed by the phrase, “See no monkeypox, hear no monkeypox, speak no monkeypox.”

The outbreak of the disease that took place last year majorly affected gay and bisexual men and was even declared a “global emergency.” But according to MTG (via Independent) — who has been very vocal with her opinion on monkeypox — the spread of the virus is nothing but a “scam.” Once again flaunting her bigoted stance, she had asked people to just “laugh at it, mock it and reject it” as the virus is “not a threat to most of the population.”

Well, while her shirt will do little to deter the fact that the monkeypox outbreak did happen and affected thousands of people across the globe, it does remind us of the (delightful) fact that just over a month ago the politician was called a “shrieking baboon” for her dreadful choices in fashion.

But if you have plans to join Greene in the narrow corridors of ever-diminishing brain power and have been jealous of her unique taste in fashion, all you have to do is shell out $34 for the shirt. You would have a piece of Greene’s magnum opus in your closet.

This is just the latest addition to the trainwreck that has been Greene’s publicly sharing her skewed belief system – whether it was her Twitter rant claiming the Jan. 6th riots were staged by Antifa and how the insurrection is a lie, saying that she sang with the detainees when she visited them, confirming that she has no idea how the banking system works, or well, that the world of CrossFit should be afraid of her should she ever decide to switch careers.

Well, at least monkeypox can be prevented with a vaccine as it is becoming more and more evident that such hope might not exist for warding off Greene’s increasingly nonsensical thought chain.
