‘Now he’s attacking my wife’: Republican Thomas Massie claps back at Trump after president made things personal

Thomas Massie isn't backing down to Trump's bullying.

Republican Rep. Thomas Massie has been pretty vocal about delivering the Epstein files, even when it meant butting heads with Donald Trump himself. However, his crusade for transparency has put him firmly in the president’s sights and now Trump is apparently firing shots, not just at Massie, but at his wife too.

Massie slammed Trump online after the president made a lengthy post to Truth Social where he claimed that the Kentucky 4th district rep became a liberal after marrying his new wife, Carolyn Grace Moffa, 36. Trump also labeled Moffa a “radical leftist flamethrower” before suggesting that Massie “didn’t know what he was getting into.”

Massie responded to Trump’s comments on X, writing, “So now he’s attacking my wife who voted for him three times.” He also claimed that it was Moffa’s idea to ask Pam Bondi about when they would get to the second phase of releasing the Epstein files.

Prior to his marriage to Moffa, Massie had been married to his previous wife, Rhonda Howard Massie, for 31 years before she passed away according to the Mirror.

Trump’s Truth Social post not only brought Massie’s wife into the two men’s beef, but he also called for Ed Gallrein to replace him, stating, “no Candidate for Congress could be better.” His reasoning was that Massie had been “disloyal to the President of the United States.”

Massie and Trump have been at odds for a while

Trump may brand him a RINO (Republican In Name Only), but Massie’s biggest sin against the president is his demand for full transparency with regards to the Epstein files, something which Trump himself had previously promised. Even after the passing of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, Massie expressed his doubts as to whether we’d actually see any prosecutions and he probably wasn’t wrong.

Fortunately, Thomas Massie isn’t the only Republican who is standing against Trump. It seems many are turning against the president and a large part of that is due to the handling of the Epstein files. Last year Marjorie Taylor Greene shocked us all as she fell out with Trump and began speaking out against him. It seems the tides are finally turning.

“I voted Trump 3 times as well.. Trump is not who he promised he’d be.” wrote one person responding to Massie’s post on X, “Something has changed and it’s amazing people actually listen to him and trust his words when he speaks about you.” they added.

Trump’s Truth Social posts show that he is losing control, he’s resorting to attacking his opponent’s loved ones because he’s got little else he can use against them and he knows it.
