Report reveals thwarted Russia 2024 plan to cause disruption comparable to 9/11 with bombs on US flights

And these are just the plans we know about!

Donald Trump is happy to cozy up to Vladimir Putin and hand him Ukraine on a platter. But Trump being all buddy-buddy with Russia means the Kremlin is laughing behind his back, as a bombshell new report details Russia’s failed plans to destabilize Europe and the United States through a series of terrorist attacks.

In a report in the Financial Times, security experts have revealed that Russian terrorists have been conducting operations in European countries.

In 2024, these included an arson attack causing a gigantic blaze at a London Ukrainian-owned warehouse, a DHL parcel-bombing campaign that saw packages explode at depots in the UK, Poland, and Germany, and the attempted severing of undersea data and power cables.

Russian involvement in all these incidents wasn’t exactly top-secret news. But the report also underlines that the United States is squarely within Putin’s crosshairs. The parcel bomb investigation led security services to the Russian-led saboteurs that sent them, who were discovered with 6kg of explosives.

Moscow takes aim at Washington

As per the report, Russia was intending to plant parcel bombs on U.S.-bound flights. These could potentially have been detonated while the flights were over U.S. cities, but even if they ‘merely’ exploded over open water, the incident would, as the authors underline, have inflicted massive disruption to the airline industry on par with the immediate aftermath of 9/11.

Security experts with links to the intelligence community quoted in The Sun underline that these incidents are probably the tip of the iceberg. They claim they’ve witnessed Russian agents assessing key road bridges, rail networks, and key power infrastructure in countries opposed to Russia to (they believe) assess how they would rig them with explosives to cripple a nation if it dared to hit back against Putin.

Putin himself isn’t shy about his desire for war, saying last week that Russia is not only “ready” to fight Europe, but would do it with such ferocity that there “would be nobody left to negotiate peace with” when he was done. In ordinary times, Putin launching an invasion of Europe would instantly draw the United States into the conflict.

But, under Trump? Heck, he might just cheer on his pal Vlad as Russian tanks roll up the Champs-Élysées and set their sights on London.
