Sadiq Khan celebrates as London, England homicide rate now lowest in recorded history, safer than all US cities

As far as MAGA is concerned London, England is currently somewhere between Mad Max and Kabul at the height of Taliban control. Paranoid losers who’ve probably never left their hometowns paint a picture of a lawless metropolis full of “no-go” zones, populated by beaten-down Londoners trapped under the sinister rule of a hardline Muslim mayor.

But as with most MAGA delusions, the reality is precisely the opposite. Today, London’s mayor Sadiq Khan (considered a hateful bogeyman by Trump), is celebrating as official crime figures for 2025 confirm that London’s homicide rate is now the lowest in recorded history:

The report confirms that across the entirety of 2025, the Metropolitan Police recorded 97 homicides in Greater London. That’s down from a spike of 153 in 2019 and a drop from 109 in 2024. The peak this century was in 2003, when 216 homicides were recorded.

Facts don’t care about your feelings

London is also much safer for the young, with homicides of under-25s plummeting from a high of 69 in 2017 to just 18 in 2025. Khan and London cops claim ditching “stop and search” tactics has improved community relations with police, together with cops working closely with youth workers who can spot kids being tempted by gangs before they commit crimes.

Khan delivered a firm rebuke to those who say London is falling, singling out Trump himself:

“The evidence shows that violent crime rates are proportionately lower in London than in any other UK city. The evidence tells a different story from what the politicians such as Donald Trump, Reform and the Conservatives would have you believe. We are liberal and diverse and also successful.”

The report also confirms that London is safer than other major European cities like Paris, Berlin, and Brussels. London is also leaving all American cities in the dust. There are 1.1 homicides per 100,000 residents of London, compared with 2.8 homicides per 100,000 in New York, 5.6 in Los Angeles, and a horrifying 12.3 in Philadelphia.

Most other violent crime in London is down too. This should hopefully dispel the illusion that London is some kind of nightmare city you shouldn’t visit. But, frankly, we don’t hold out much hope of these facts sinking into MAGA minds.

They happily swallow the lies they’re fed by their MAGA overlords and remain locked in middle America, whimpering in fear as they imagine the world outside of America. To them, believing foreign countries are hell only justifies their decision to rot in their mom’s basement forever.
