‘She wasn’t stolen, she was preyed upon.’: Giuffre’s brother destroys Trump’s Mar-a-Lago story with brutal truth

The brother's brutal truth.

The family of Virginia Giuffre, a prominent Jeffrey Epstein accuser who died by suicide in April, is speaking out against President Donald Trump’s recent comments about their loved one. Giuffre’s relatives say she would have wanted documents related to the disgraced financier to be made public as the Trump administration faces mounting pressure around the case.

According to CNN, Trump, who had decades-long ties to Epstein, said earlier this week that the sex offender poached young women from Mar-a-Lago, including Giuffre, who worked at Trump’s resort as a teenager. His admission that he bragged about keeping underage ‘staff’ has raised new disturbing questions about what he knew. “I think she worked at the spa,” Trump said of Giuffre. “I think that was one of the people, yeah. He stole her.” The White House has said Trump barred Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club “for being a creep.”

Sky Roberts, Giuffre’s brother, took issue with Trump’s characterization during an interview with CNN. “She wasn’t stolen, she was preyed upon at his property, at President Trump’s property,” Roberts said. He added that “stolen seems very impersonal, feels very much like an object, and these survivors are not objects.” Roberts also said Trump’s comments raise questions about “how much he knew during that time.”

Family calls for document release and criticizes Maxwell meeting

Amanda Roberts, Giuffre’s sister-in-law, told CNN that in one of their last conversations, Giuffre called for the release of Epstein-related documents. “She wanted the world to know what they’ve done to her and so many other survivors, and she had been fighting that till her very last day,” Roberts said. Giuffre was 41 when she died by suicide, having previously accused both Epstein and Britain’s Prince Andrew of abuse when she was a teenager.

The family also expressed concern about a recent Justice Department meeting with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s accomplice, who has offered to testify before Congress with conditions, including immunity, raising questions about potential deals with convicted traffickers. Sky Roberts said Giuffre “was preyed upon by Ghislaine Maxwell, as well as many other predators out there. But she was preyed upon at Mar-a-Lago, and we were very shocked and very surprised that they were giving her a voice and giving her a platform to essentially, possibly make a deal.”

Lanette Wilson, another sister-in-law, said she doesn’t “see any real reason to speak with” Maxwell, describing her as “a sex trafficker, a monster that could do unspeakable things to young women without conscience.” Maxwell was convicted on serious charges related to her role in Epstein’s trafficking operation. Wilson stressed that the possibility of Maxwell receiving immunity or a pardon sends a troubling message to survivors. “It does send a message to the survivors that, you know, if you’re in power, if you’ve got money, if you’ve got connections, then you’re above the law,” Wilson said. Sky Roberts told CNN that Maxwell “deserves to rot in prison where she belongs because of what she’s done to my sister and so many other women.”
