Last night, the State Department made a shocking comment even by Trump administration standards. Taking to their X account, they posted a sinister monochrome image of Donald Trump captioned: “THIS IS OUR HEMISPHERE”.
This is OUR Hemisphere, and President Trump will not allow our security to be threatened. pic.twitter.com/SXvI868d4Z

Trump is currently drunk on the thrill of conquest, having realized that if he tells Delta Force to kidnap the president of Venezuela or that the US Navy should bomb Nigeria, they will just do it and nobody can stop him.
Now, Trump and his goons are hungrily sizing up Greenland and its natural resources. They’ve concluded (sadly, probably correctly) that they can just take Greenland without any resistance. Sure, there’d be weeks of angry columnists, a furious Europe, and strong remarks at the UN… but that’ll blow over.
So where will they turn their eyes to next? Well, if Trump seizes Greenland, that’ll leave Canada surrounded. And perhaps then it’s only a matter of time…
Once the Americans get Greenland then Canada will be surrounded on all sides.

I think the Americans are going to want to plug that gap in their national security next.

The 51st state?
You might think this is utterly insane. The United States invading Canada? Not in a million years! Don’t be so sure! Back in April 2025, Trump was clear that the United States acquiring Canada was on his to-do list, saying:
Canada… you know what to do.#ElbowsUpCanada 🇨🇦 pic.twitter.com/qd7dt49kn7

“If Canada becomes the cherished 51st State of the United States of America. No more articially drawn line from many years ago. Look how beautiful this land mass would be. Free access with NO BORDER. ALL POSITIVES WITH NO NEGATIVES. IT WAS MEANT TO BE! America can no longer subsidize Canada with the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars a year that we have been spending in the past. It makes no sense unless Canada is a state!”
The chances of Trump actually invading Canada remain slim. But “slim” isn’t “nothing”, and we already know the U.S. military has previously had contingency plans drawn up for just such an invasion. The huge military disparity between Canada and the United States means that, at least on paper, Trump could simply seize Canada through sheer might alone if he chose to.
Fortunately, it’s not quite as simple as that. American soldiers would feel deeply conflicted about military action against such a close ally, there would inevitably be partisan rebellion from furious Canadians, enormous pressure in America to cease hostilities, and the absolute disgust from former allies and the continued isolation of America on the international stage.
Then there’s the simple fact that if Trump did make Canada the 51st state, he’d instantly create tens of millions of voters who hate his guts. Oh well, silver linings and all that.
