‘The Trump administration personally intervened’: Child abuse suspect freed from custody, flees country, all thanks to Trump

Protecting powerful child abusers is very on brand.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has been doing its job. Over the last few weeks, they’ve launched an extensive sting operation in combination with other agencies to ensnare child sex predators grooming children online.

Those arrested are David Wonnacott-Yahnke, 40; Tom Artiom Alexandrovich, 38; Jose Alberto Perez-Torres, 35; Aniket Brajeshkumar Sadani, 23; James Ramon Reddick, 23; Ramon Manuel Parra Valenzuela, 29; Neal Harrison Creecy, 46, and John Charles Duncan, 49. These men are all facing felony charges of Luring a Child with Computer for Sex Acts. In Nevada, this can result in two decades behind bars.

Presumably, these cops breathed a sigh of relief that these men had been caught before they could damage any more kids. But, for one of the suspects, the tale wasn’t quite over.

Tom Alexandrovich is the Executive Director of the Defense Division of the Israel National Cyber Directorate, making his arrest an immediate political hot potato. Alexandrovich was detained at the Henderson Detention Center, but was released on a $10,000 surety bond. He was then permitted to return to his hotel, retrieve his passport, and quickly boarded a plane to Israel. He is now beyond the reach of U.S. justice and looks set to get away with his disgusting crimes.

Alexandrovich was not arrested on arrival but has been placed on leave from the Israeli Cyber Directorate by “mutual decision” with Benjamin Netanyahu’s office trying to dismiss the incident as no big deal, saying:

“A state employee who traveled to the US for professional matters was questioned by American authorities during his stay … The employee, who does not hold a diplomatic visa, was not arrested and returned to Israel as scheduled.”

This is a straight lie. Alexandrovich was formally arrested, charged with Luring a Child with Computer for Sex Acts, and is still facing pending felony charges.

“A predator was caught. And then, to protect Netanyahu, he was freed.”

But it gets worse. Reporter Shaun King says he’s “confirmed with officers” that the Trump administration intervened to get Alexandrovich free as soon as possible:

“I have now confirmed with officers involved in the sting that the Trump administration personally intervened, at Israel’s request, to override U.S. law enforcement, including their own federal agents involved in the sting, to make sure that Alexandrovich got back to Israel quickly and safely.”

Cops were left stunned, saying “they couldn’t believe it”. King continues:

“They caught Alexandrovich red-handed. They booked him, charged him, and logged him into Henderson County’s system like every other suspect. And then — despite the Trump administration itself authorizing the sting — Trump’s own team stepped in and blew up their work. They expedited his release and return to Israel. A predator was caught. And then, to protect Netanyahu, he was freed.”

You might expect shock and dismay to follow this news. After all, this is the Trump administration ensuring that a man who appears to be extremely dangerous to children is allowed to stroll free and abuse others. Then again, the Trump administration intervening to make sure pedophiles escape justice is, at this point, extremely on brand.
