This Charlie Kirk tweet from 2025 is the smoking gun that Trump has betrayed MAGA

America first, until it wasn't.

When Charlie Kirk fired off his celebratory post on June 23, 2025, he felt like a man finally vindicated for his political affiliation with Donald Trump and the MAGA camp.

Nine months later, and less than six months after his assassination, Trump has betrayed almost every campaign promise and thrown the Republican party into damage control mode.

The tweet came courtesy of a ceasefire deal that Trump struck between Iran and Israel to end the Twelve-Day War.

“No nukes for Iran,” he typed. “No troops on the ground. No US troops dead. No regime change. No nation building. No war. President Trump with a historic masterclass.”

Nine months later, his favorite president proved that every single line of that tweet was a lie, and it was only convenience that held him back at the time.

The United States launched Operation Epic Fury on February 28, 2026, a joint military strike against Iran with the help of Israel. In the weeks that followed, thousands of civilians across the Middle East died in the fire exchange between Iran and the U.S.-led coalition.

Already, 13 servicemen are dead and the Pentagon is entertaining the possibility of launching a ground invasion against key targets in Iran, including the Kharg Island as well as the adjacent Three Islands.

It’s been exactly a month since the operation that the Trump camp refuses to call a “war” started, and with all the developments surrounding it, I think it’s safe to say Kirk’s tweet aged like a carton of milk left out in the sun for exactly nine months.

Charlie Kirk warned Trump about Iran

Resigned National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent recently revealed to Tucker Carlson that Kirk had warned the administration about a war with Iran and the dangers it represented to the “America First” rhetoric.

Then Kirk was shot dead by a rooftop sniper at a university debate event on September 10, 2025. Trump opposed the so-called “forever wars” of the Bush and Obama eras, but now he seems stuck in a quagmire of his own making in Iran.

Charlie Kirk’s tweet stands as a testament that Trump isn’t just dangerous for the Democratic party or liberals, but even his own side of the political spectrum. Of course, the why of it, why Trump opted for a risky military operation to begin with — especially in the middle of negotiations that were, by all accounts, going well — remains a mystery even to the GOP.

Whatever the case, the MAGA movement’s greatest enemy is turning out to be the man who kickstarted it all.
