Rumors regarding the supposed ailing health of Donald Trump have been swirling over the past couple of days as it seems nobody has seen the president out in public. Naturally, conspiracy theorists have taken this rumor and run with it, but is there actually any proof that something’s going on? Surprisingly, pizza may be able to provide us with an answer.
If that sounds crazy, just hold on, there is some logic here. Many online believe that we can deduce something is wrong with the use of everyone’s favorite Italian export, more specifically, the pizza restaurants surrounding the Pentagon. A website dedicated to indexing pizza sales from restaurants within a 2 mile radius of the headquarters of the Department of Defense has shown a serious uptick in pizza deliveries in the last couple of days, which usually means something is going down.
What does this mean for Donald Trump?
According to one TikToker by the name of Kellie, upticks in pizza orders around the Pentagon almost always correlate to something big happening. She points out it was first observed at the end of the Cold War with examples being as recent as last year, when an uptick in pizza sales preceded a drone strike from Iran against Israel.
The implication is that government workers are working overtime due to some big event and are thus ordering food. Kellie claims that the recent increases in pizza orders are “the most convincing evidence” that there is something wrong. The timing could mean it relates to Donald Trump, as there have been plenty of rumors suggesting he may already be dead.
On X, many were convinced that this proved the rumors and that Trump may really be dead. “I THINK ITS HAPPENING. PREPARE” wrote one person, sharing a screenshot of the pizza index at DEFCON 1. Another added “The pizza never lies.”
The rumors examined
Realistically, if this is the best proof we have to prove that Trump’s life may be in danger (or that he’s already dead), it isn’t much to go off of. Sure, Trump’s lack of public appearance is concerning, and VP JD Vance’s comments certainly suggest the president might be sick, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
Pentagon Pizza Report on X (a separate tracker to the Pentagon Pizza Index) told people to “refrain from implying too much” as spikes in activity could mean anything and do not necessarily relate to Donald Trump.
As of the time of writing, the Pentagon Pizza Index has downgraded from DEFCON 1 to DEFCON 3, with only a couple of restaurants seeing a spike in sales. We’ll just have to wait and see what this unusual pizza activity is all about.
