Trump accuses fallen dictator of stealing something unexpected from him, and says it contributed to his downfall

This is genuinely unhinged.

President Donald Trump made a strange new claim about Nicolás Maduro, the former Venezuelan dictator who was recently removed from power. Trump says Maduro did not just steal money or power. He claims Maduro tried to copy his famous dance moves.

According to The Guardian, Trump spoke to Republican lawmakers in Washington. He accused Maduro, who now faces terrorism and drug trafficking charges, of copying his dance style. “He gets up there and he tries to imitate my dance a little bit,” Trump said at the Trump-Kennedy Centre.

This was not just a joke about Maduro’s dancing skills. Trump’s team believed Maduro’s public dancing was meant to mock the United States. Maduro had performed on stage to a techno version of his slogan, “No War, Yes Peace.”This is genuinely unhinged.

Trump’s team saw the dancing as a direct insult to America

Trump’s administration thinks this bold display helped lead to Maduro’s capture. They viewed his dancing as mocking US military pressure and demands for him to leave office. US forces captured Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, in a Saturday raid that killed dozens of people.

While Maduro’s mentor Hugo Chávez also danced at rallies, Trump’s team saw Maduro’s moves as defiance. They did not see it as normal political performance. That turned out to be a costly mistake for what seemed like simple public dancing. This incident adds to Trump’s pattern of targeting perceived critics.

Trump also made much darker claims about the dictator. Speaking one day after Maduro’s court hearing in Manhattan, Trump called him a “violent guy.” He said Maduro “killed millions of people.” Trump also claimed Maduro ran a torture chamber in Caracas that is now being shut down.

Even First Lady Melania Trump has shared her thoughts on his dancing. Trump told lawmakers that his wife “hates it when I dance.” She thinks it looks unpresidential. When Trump said “everybody wants me to dance, darling,” Melania replied that people were “just being nice to you.”

Trump’s focus on dancing is notable since his own rally moves have been criticized for years. He often dances to the disco song YMCA at events. His supporters love it and copy his stiff arm-waving style. Critics have been less kind about his performance. The administration’s recent actions extend beyond foreign policy, as Trump’s immigration policies affect American families.

Trump disagrees with critics and says crowds love his moves and often scream for him to dance. Despite what anyone thinks about his performance, it’s clear he won’t stop dancing at his rallies anytime soon.
