Trump claims he’s made ‘Hundreds of Billions of Dollars’ in the stock market. But he says it’s not for himself: ‘For the U.S.A’

Trump’s stock market trades had raised eyebrows before.

In one of 37 Truth Social posts on Sunday, President Donald Trump said the money he has made in markets was not personal profit. He claimed he has made “Hundreds of Billions of Dollars” on stocks and other holdings and said those gains were “for the U.S.A.”

The full message read: “I do this for our Country, not myself. I’ve made Hundreds of Billions of Dollars on Stocks, and many other type Holdings, for the U.S.A., not myself, and all I do is get criticized by the Radical Left Dumocrats. Very unfair, but what can you do! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

An AI-generated picture sat with that post. It appeared to show Trump trading from the White House, with monitors tracking an Intel position that jumped from $20 to $95.

Sunday posts mixed market comments with AI pictures and memes

The same day’s feed also carried memes and generated images. Some showed Trump heading a force of giant robots under the lines “GIVE THEM NIGHTMARES” and “THEY WILL DREAM OF US FOREVER.” Another pictured a fighter jet closing in on an exploding Kharg Island, captioned “Bye bye, Kharg.”

Other images cast him as a muscular Hulk Hogan lookalike, striking “jerk” Robert De Niro, welcoming George Washington into the Oval Office, claiming the moon for the United States, and reshaping Iran in his own image

Mediaite points out that the Intel graphic drew extra notice because Trump’s investment accounts bought shares of the chipmaker several times earlier this year, the report stated. The government stake has drawn political commentary, such as when Bernie Sanders agreed with Bill Maher that Trump is more socialist than Democrats over the government’s stake in Intel and Nvidia deals.  The administration holds a 10% stake in Intel for the U.S. government.

Those accounts have carried out thousands of stock trades since he returned to office, the report said. The White House has maintained that the accounts run on their own and that Trump does not direct the trades.

Trump has also told Americans to buy Dell stock after founder Michael Dell helped start Trump Accounts. Trump has also promoted financial gains for the country, though the cost of surviving in the U.S. is reportedly spiraling.  Dell shares are up more than 300% since the beginning of the year, the report stated. A recent financial disclosure showed Trump personally made at least $2.2 billion in 2025.
