Trump holds a rally in San Antonio for Ken Paxton. Then 6 interruptions break out and his supporters start screaming: ‘We love you, Daddy Trump!’

Police also had to restrain one of his own supporters.

President Donald Trump was in San Antonio on Wednesday to back Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton. It was his third visit to Texas in less than a month. He carried the state in the 2024 election.

The rally apparently did not run without breaks. According to Mediaite, at least six interruptions led police to forcibly remove hecklers from the crowd. As those removals played out, supporters were heard shouting, “Daddy Trump! We love you, Daddy Trump!”

That chant was captured in footage from the Right Side Broadcasting Network. A post from FactPost on October 7, 2026, put it this way: “The crowd at Trump’s rally screams ‘we love you daddy Trump.'”

Trump answers each interruption as officers clear the floor

The opening interruption ended with a man in a MAGA hat yanking the heckler to the ground. Trump took the moment from the podium and said, “Let me ask you a question – is there anything like a Trump rally?”

He turned next to the second person who cut in. Trump said, “That guy’s gotta lose a lot of weight… Many of these protesters are paid. You know that, right?” He then added, “They’re paid by enemies of our nation.”

The third break drew boos from the crowd toward the heckler. Trump tried to reset the room with, “Do we have a good time?” The rally came as Paxton’s own standing with Trump has been in question, as Paxton privately said Trump’s GOP convention hurt him, dropping his numbers.

A man in a cowboy hat, who appeared to be a Trump supporter, swatted at two interrupters while security walked them out. An officer then restrained that man after he started to follow them.

Trump later told the room, “If there are any more paid protesters, please raise your hand and get the hell out of here.”

A fourth interruption landed while he was taking aim at Democrats. Watching the person leave, he said, “They’re getting smaller.”

The fifth person was taken out by the police with his hands behind his back. Trump laughed and said, “Don’t worry about it… Those are really bad-looking people.”

The sixth break involved more than one protester. Officers forcibly escorted the group out, and Trump supporters got in their faces on the way. For Paxton, the friction with Trump goes beyond the rally crowd, as leaked audio caught him saying Trump’s convention dropped our numbers.

The removals did not quiet the room. Right Side Broadcasting Network footage still showed supporters shouting, “Daddy Trump! We love you, Daddy Trump!”
