Trump lets rally crowd vote on what to call Biden, but the name he actually uses is far more X-rated

The Biden-bashing ritual continues.

President Donald Trump caught his supporters off guard at a Pennsylvania rally when he used a harsh, X-rated insult for Joe Biden, diverging sharply from the milder options he presented moments earlier. The crowd had expected him to choose between the familiar nicknames ‘Sleepy Joe’ or ‘Crooked Joe,’ but Trump had a different, and far more provocative, plan in mind.

According to Express, Trump told the audience that he relies on these live crowd votes instead of paying for expensive opinion polls. ‘It saves me millions of dollars and still gives me a real sense of what people think,’ he said, framing the exercise as both practical and entertaining.

When revealing the results of the audience vote, Trump delivered his punchline. ‘Typically, Crooked Joe wins,’ he said. ‘I’m surprised, because to me, he’s a sleepy son of a b—-.’ The remark, a blunt five-word insult, was far more severe than the tame choices he had offered, leaving the crowd both shocked and amused at the unexpected turn.

Trump’s rally focused on rising prices and economic troubles

The rally happened in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, December 10, 2025, and lasted nearly an hour. While the name-calling grabbed attention, Trump’s main message was about the cost-of-living crisis. He blamed Biden’s policies for high prices and economic problems.

Trump claims his team is lowering prices and solving what he calls the “affordability problem.” He recently called “affordability” a “Democrat hoax,” saying Democrats created the issue and his administration is fixing it. From the White House, he stated, “We’re bringing prices way down.” The Biden family has faced internal Democratic party tensions recently.

However, this claim faces challenges. In April, Trump announced his “Liberation Day” tariffs. Businesses warned these taxes on imports would raise costs for shoppers and possibly cut jobs. Prices have gone up since the tariffs started.

The White House is trying to convince voters that the economy will improve next year. They say inflation worries have nothing to do with current policies. But polls show voters are questioning Trump’s handling of the economy.

The rally location matters for Republicans. The area is represented by Republican Rob Bresnahan, who won his 2024 race by just 1.5 percentage points. Democrats want to take his seat, with Scranton Mayor Paige Cognetti seeking to challenge him. Bresnahan spoke before Trump, saying voters want results, not political fights. Trump’s son Barron has also made headlines at political events this year.
