The MAGAsphere is rapidly losing faith in Donald Trump. They voted for an “America First” president, believing his “no new wars” promises, that he’d bring down gas and grocery prices, and restore international respect for the United States of America.
As you may have noticed, Trump is doing the exact opposite on all of those fronts. He’s plunged the United States into yet another pointless, costly, and bloody war in the Middle East, regular folk are finding their wallets drained as they struggle to fill their tanks at the pump, and even formerly staunch allies like the United Kingdom want no part of Trump’s deranged plans.
On top of all that, Trump himself is visibly losing the plot. Never the most sane and well-adjusted person, he’s now practically frothing at the mouth with unhinged pronouncements that have allies and enemies whispering about the 25th Amendment.

As a measure of how it’s going for Trump, stalwart MAGA-heads Theo Von and Jake Paul are now openly criticizing him and his family for their cowardice. In a conversation on The Past Weekend yesterday, Von and Paul discussed Trump’s war in Iran and brought up how Roman leaders fought alongside their troops in battle – gaining credibility for their war being necessary by putting their own necks on the line.
“Trump should be on the front lines”
Paul was explicit: “I think you’re right. Trump should be on the front lines.” Von agreed, adding “Or Barron”. In a dark twist, they alluded to Barron’s height, saying he’d stand out so much “he’d get shot in the head”.
Von in particular appears to have considerably soured on Trump over recent weeks. On The Joe Rogan Experience last week, he hammered Trump and Republicans, saying they’re doing nothing for regular folk:

“It’s all just a cat-and-mouse game, people are like ‘we’ll elect the Democrats next time.’ But it’s all the same s–t that has been happening forever. They haven’t been helping anybody forever…Everybody is scared out of their wits right now.”
Paul openly criticizing Trump is even more surprising, as it was only weeks ago he was invited on stage at a Trump rally in Kentucky. During this glowing (and somewhat sweaty) appearance, Trump hinted that he’d endorse Paul for any political office he chose to pursue. What a difference a week or two in politics makes, right?
At this point, it’s clear that both Trump’s allies and enemies can sense there’s blood in the water. For years, Trump has been considered as political teflon: even as disaster strikes, he always passes the blame onto others and escapes without a scratch. But that non-stick coating has clearly begun to wear off.
There’s simply no way to argue that Trump isn’t solely responsible for the pain Americans are feeling at the gas pumps right now, and his argument that this is all worth it because you feel safer just doesn’t hold water. I mean, do you feel safer?
All this, on top of the recent firings of Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi, the clear signs of Trump’s body and mind failing as he approaches his 80th birthday, and his bizarre social media activity indicate that the RMS Trumptanic has hit the iceberg and is rapidly sinking beneath the waves.
And, as they say, when a ship begins to sink, the rats will scurry out of it as quickly as possible. Nobody wants to be tethered to a loser when things fall apart, and that’s precisely what’s happening with the Trump administration and its former acolytes right now.
Sure, that means we get the dispiriting likelihood of JD Vance assuming the presidency, but, for all his obvious evil, maliciousness, and aura of hate, at least his brain isn’t rapidly approaching a soup-like state,
