Trump’s DoJ Deputy Chief says Ghislaine Maxwell was transferred to ‘keep her mouth shut’, DoJ covering up Republicans in Epstein files

"They'll redact every Republican or conservative person in those files."

You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to suspect that a deal was made between the Trump administration and Jeffrey Epstein’s right-hand woman, Ghislaine Maxwell. Trump was feeling the heat over his connections to Epstein and Maxwell is seeking a pardon or transfer to a nicer prison. What could these two possibly ever do for each other?

And so Maxwell was interviewed by Trump’s lawyer, going out of her way to exonerate Trump as a “gentleman” who was never involved in any of Epstein’s crimes, and in fact barely knew him at all. Soon afterwards, Maxwell was transferred out of her Florida prison to a ‘Club Fed’ low-security Texas prison.

It’s clear that the Trump administration has a very low opinion of the average citizen’s intelligence, but surely they can’t think voters are so stupid that they couldn’t put this kindergarten-level jigsaw together.

Just revealing all the secrets

Well, now Joseph Schnitt, Acting Deputy Chief at the Department of Justice’s Office of Enforcement Operations, has spilled the beans. A journalist spotted Schnitt on dating app Hinge, and the two went out for dinner, with Schnitt quickly singing like a canary on all things Trump.

He came right out and said, “They’ll redact every Republican or conservative person in those files, leave all the liberal, Democratic people in those files”. The journalist then asked about Maxwell:

“She got transferred to a minimum security prison, too, recently. Which is against BOP policy because she’s a convicted sex offender, and they’re not supposed to get minium security prisons, which is an interesting detail because she’s getting a benefit, which means they’re offering her something to keep her mouth shut.”

And as for the hopes of Trump being mentioned in any files release? “If it is, it’ll be heavily redacted and his name won’t be in it”.

Today, there are red faces at the DoJ, which is now in full damage control mode. The official account posted an explanation by Schnitt, insisting that all that damaging stuff he said was just his “own personal comments” on the situation. Riiiiiight.

It’s also interesting that this sting was the work of Project Veritas, a far-right activist group that generally targets progressives and Democrats. Them deciding now is the time to go after Trump officials may mark a bellweather for how much MAGA is prepared to put up with regarding Epstein.

And, if true, Trump officials making a deal with Maxwell for her to praise Trump in exchange for her getting a transfer to a luxury prison is truly shocking. You’re putting the President’s ego ahead of justice, rewarding a convicted sex offender for her crimes, and spitting in the faces of their victims.
