Tyrannical Miami Mayor sends police round to woman’s home to confront her over Facebook post criticizing him

Steven Meiner can't handle some online criticism it seems.

Some people are just incapable of handling criticism as seems to be the case with Miami Mayor Steven Meiner who allegedly had police sent round to a woman’s house after she made a Facebook post criticizing him.

Rachel Pacheco shared footage of her conversation with two police officers at her door online. In the video he shows her a Facebook post and asks her, “is that your account?” Pacheco wisely refuses to answer the officer’s question without a lawyer present. She also tells the men at her door that the post was free speech and “this is America.”

The post in question is a condemnation of Steven Meiner, whom the poster accuses of “consistently calling for the deaths of all Palestinians.” They had been responding to the mayor’s claims that Miami was a “safe haven for everyone,” in contrast to places like New York which Meiner claimed was discriminating against Jews and Israeli businesses.

The poster also called Meiner out for trying to shut down a movie theater for showing a movie “that hurt his feelings” and criticized him for failing to stand up for LGBTQ community.

The officers try to claim that they are just trying to prevent someone seeing the post that might agree and get “agitated,” and presumably do something horrific. “That can probably incite somebody to do something radical,” the man claims. Rachel maintains her fifth amendment right to stay silent and the officers eventually leave.

This is straight up intimidation from Steven Meiner

While they may try to reason that an individual may be “agitated” by the post, there’s not really anything said by the poster that isn’t true, and even if it weren’t there’s nowhere in the short paragraph that calls for violence or any sort of action and so there’s no reason to have officers banging on Rachel’s door whether she made the post or not.

The president himself posts more agitating posts on the daily. Last year he actively called for some of his political opponents to be hanged. Why can Donald Trump, one of the most influential men in the world, actually call for people’s deaths but a regular person on Facebook can’t simply share facts?

“Police Chief should have told the Mayor to pound sand. Illegal and waste of man power.” One person stated on X. Another responded to the video writing, “there was literally NOTHING wrong about her comment, no threats or violent speech.”

Despite someone claiming his city as a “safe haven” for all, Meiner sure is making it feel incredibly unsafe for those with a different opinion to himself.
