‘We’re human beings!’: MAGA crusader has instant change of heart on government assistance after Texas town floods

Life comes at you fast. One minute, you can be on top of the world, cackling as you stare down at the misery of the masses, relishing their pain. Then, very quickly, something will come along out of the blue to knock you off your pedestal and down into the mud with the rest of us.

A textbook example of this has just been delivered in the form of this formerly smug MAGA moron. Mere days ago, “TexasProudPatriot” was hooting and hollering as the Big, Beautiful Bill passed:

“We’re not going to help anybody! Y’all been living on food stamps, section 8 housing your entire freaking life and you’re not going to do it anymore! If you can work and you’re an able-bodied person get a job! I’m tired of paying for it!”

That tune turned on a dime as flash floods hit Texas and wrecked her town, leaving her pleading for the very government assistance she was so gleeful about snatching away from others. In desperate footage, she’s now whimpering:

“For god’s sakes Travis County help us! Don’t treat us like we’re nothing out here, because we’re not, we’re human beings! We pay taxes out here! Don’t treat us like this!!!”

Well, well, well. So, you need financial assistance from the government you pay taxes to, and they won’t give you anything? Wow, that must be so horrible for you…

Will she learn anything?

In an ideal world, this woman would now reflect on her beliefs. After all, she’s dismissing those receiving government assistance as lazy and useless parasites when she has absolutely no idea of their personal circumstances and how much tax they’ve paid over their lives.

This fresh perspective should make her think twice about snatching away support from people who need it, as like her, they’re human beings too. But I think we all know that no lessons will be learned from this little episode. Once she’s snaffled up whatever meager support the state has provided she’ll go right back to yelling at people doing the exact same thing as she’s done.

Then again, with Medicaid being slashed across the nation, there will soon be millions of die-hard MAGA acolytes having to square the fact that their idol Trump’s bill means they no longer qualify for their life-saving medication or treatments. Basically, expect to see a lot more of these kinds of videos as Trump voters get a sudden cold hard dose of reality.
