‘What the–‘: The White House just posted a Christmas cover and decided going all cringe is the way to go

Yes, the word you are looking for is "embarassing."

Donald Trump can post absolutely anything on his social media, and nobody would be surprised. But the White House? We never knew they were allowed to trashpost just like the president.

Christmas is coming, and the worst we expected was Trump beginning another shitposting streak. Perhaps he would claim Santa doesn’t work hard enough, or release guidelines that candy canes are a threat to national security. While he did not (yet) post anything like that, the White House didn’t let anyone miss his garbage-tier content.

On Dec. 3, the White House officially welcomed the Christmas season by posting an early holiday message. But it wasn’t your typical greeting, wishing for good health or happiness. Nothing under Trump can ever be normal. The White House instead posted a cartoon of Trump wearing a Santa hat and striking his favorite “thumbs up” pose.

He’s outside the White House, it’s snowing, and he’s wearing his signature red tie to match the hat. Very Christmas-y, right? Sadly, no. The text on the post reads, “Daddy’s Home,” and it’s captioned “HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!” Yes, in all caps. And yes, we all know who loves writing in all caps.

MAGA goons keep calling Trump “Daddy” now

Online, users couldn’t believe their eyes. First, it was the White House posting it, and second, they chose THAT message? “This is so embarrassing,” one wrote, while some wondered if the operator had posted it on the wrong account accidentally. But it was posted on Instagram, as well as the WH’s official X account. So, the post was completely deliberate.

Trump’s MAGA base went crazy about the post for some reason, saying they need it on a T-shirt. One even replied with a picture of themselves with “Daddy’s Home” already printed on it. Other replies are too cringy to quote, but one of them said, “When daddy’s home, we’re home.” That too, with a winking face emoji. Yikes.

Sane Americans are embarrassed by the White House

But the few sane people in the comments section raised some logical questions, too. “What kind of weird cult refers to their President as ‘daddy’?” one asked. “How do all the self-proclaimed alpha males out there feel about calling Trump ‘daddy’?” another wrote. Meanwhile, political commentator Brian Krassenstein completely ripped apart the White House’s agenda:

Nothing says ‘Merry Christmas’ like an alleged predator found liable for sexually assaulting a woman in a dressing room and accused of barging in on changing teen girls, posting a photo of himself dressed as Santa with the caption ‘Daddy’s Home.’ Now imagine looking at that and thinking, ‘Yes, that’s my pick for President.

We hope they read that and delegated the message to Trump, who was probably the one behind the post. If this is the content the highest office of the country is promoting, there’s no saving America from the trolls.
